autoblogging INSANITY...need help...

Anyone else using WP-Robot for autoblogging? It's a great plug-in for generating content and drawing traffic, but I have had SO many problems with my private server since I started building up a network of autoblogs. My sites are crashing, loading too slow, etc...I dramatically reduced the number of posts that WP-Robot does (each of my sites does one or two posts a day, that's all), and I use WP Super Cache, but still my server is constantly running into problems.

Are there any autoblog masters out there who can recommend some ways to scape content without blowing up your server? Is there a server setting I need to change?

P.S. I write a huge amount of original content for my other sites, so please don't call us autobloggers "lazy"...I just like the idea of having a bunch of sites, in various niches, that can run on their own and pull their own content. Trying to make this work...

Then you should contact your web host to check why your server getting problem. Are you using dedicated server hosting or any other type of a hosting? What I would recommend you to check server logs and WP-Robot logs files as well. So you can figure out the exact problem, which causing a problem for your server.

I have been told that these sites are SO resource-hungry. I was steered towards special hosting (separate IP address for each site, I seem to remember) but I haven't tried this yet. I am sure that I have heard of people being asked to leave certain hosting because they had a number of very resource-hungry sites.

just clean up your web folder. Also, check out your post tags. One of my sites had something like 80k post tags; quite the resource hog. The only way I could clean them up was to download plugins and themes to my hd, download my mysql tables, except for wp_terms, wp_term relationships and wp_taxonomy, put a fresh install of wp in and then upload plugins/mysql tables back in

also check out phpmyadmin in cpanel and go to your blogs mysql tables and repair all/optimize all

Sure. You have the possibility to use a custom-made software that is not server side and doesn't expose you to the risk of loosing the hosting due to the high server resources used.
