Help with Domain Names

I have a question that deals with domain names. I'm creating a membership site and in the interim, I building an email list for this niche. Keeping branding in mind, what is the best way to go about structuring the domain names for the squeeze page, sales page, blog and membership site? Am I hurting myself if their all different? Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

    It depends on the keyword
Ex. my keyword was SEO (which is extra competitive) so i chose a smaller market Budget SEO, similarly if you are to target a specific keyword you'd be adding a prefix or a suffix to cater the market, since i am not aware of the keyword it'd be difficult to advise on the basic structure.

Have you considered subdomains??? This way you are always branded with your main domain name or keyword.

It may or may not be an option, but just wanted to mention it

LOL...I meant the comment more for the OP.
A lot of domain names are taken, I'll give you that, but there are still a ton of great keyword type of domains available.

Depending on branding too, what is the OP going for. Is branding for a keyword/niche or for an actual name.

We all know ebay.com is an online auction site, but the name has nothing to do with auctions for example.

Or Amazon...nothing to do with Largest Online Retailer, etc.

Are you going for branding in a niche like
RideourcoolTrain.com or a branding of a "brand" name like Amtrak for example.

Are you making up a name for your site, or using a keyword/niche name for the site???

Hopefully that makes sense LOL.

I would likely sub-domain them all.

mygreatsite.com - front door or main sales page

            mygreatsite.com/blog - blog

mygreatsite.com/members - log in for membership site

            mygreatsite.com/secretpage - squeeze page

            etc.

If you get it right, it will appear in the search engines something like this:

If you do a search for lowcarbfriends you will see this pop up top and you should see the same structuring. You'll notice if you hover over the pages listed below the structure they have. They have different things going on, IE bbs is actually the forums and then there are also html pages listed there.

Thanks for all the feedback. I'm targeting the work at home niche. One of the domains I have is workathomejobs4all.com I was concerned that in my marketing it would be harder to remember a domain with sub domain. Additionally I plan on doing a decent amount of offline promoting so I wanted to keep it as simple and easy to remember if I can.
