Just How SCARED Should You Be About Hackers And WordPress?

In another thread, I offered small plugin to hide your WordPress version number (something I felt was a bit intrusive).

However, the issue of security goes beyond that, and so I posted an extended article on security on my blog:

    You should be just as 'scared' of Wordpress hackers as you should be of terrorism.

    Take the basic common sense precautions that you feel you need to and keep working.

    I have found Jamie's (a fellow Warrior) 'WordPress Secured' to be one of the best purchases I have made in a long time. It's simple and easy to use and does exactly what it says - in a way that no other plugin or service I have found to date. Having your blog hacked is not fun. Neither is having Google suspend your account for 'suspicious activity' generated by hackers.

    I like David's plugin, as well. Thanks for offering this, David.
