Need some small help

Well warriors, I am sort of free for some 8 hours and want to try an SEO experiment..but I just need an answer to proceed any further guys...
Let us say if I have got a backlink on a site at a certain time let us say at
6:00 pm and google has crawled the site at that point of time and increased the number of backlinks to my site by 1. Now the backlink is taken off at some 9:00pm, then if google is going to crawl the site again then is it going to reduce my number of backlinks by 1??
Sorry guys a total n00b question, but I dont have an other option than asking u guys, who are experts
Also guys in fb every page is having pr 10..but the crawlers cannot see our link on fb anyways..so what is the use of having a backlink from fb anyways??
Also another small idea whenever I search for a person his fb profile link will certainly come on #1 posn on google.
So let us say if I have got a site which focusses on keyword "x" and I am going to make a fb profile with its name as "x"...then it will rank #1 position in google and whenever someone searches there is a high probability that we will get a click..
Do u think that this will work??

    First of all you really need to study about the concept of Dofollow and Nofollow. the links that you post on FB are always nofollow so they don't make good backlinks, but profiles are dofollow so they get indexed and shows in Google search.
    Your trick to create a page with required keyword can work but it will bring traffic to your FB page and not your Website. All those who visit your websites will not go to your websites if they don't find anything interesting there so you won't be earning good traffic points unless you can create a goof FBML page in your Welcome Tab. It may help a little.

    Yeah even I was thinking of creating a profile page with its wall full of some content related to the niche...and then I will leave a link saying that for more about this click here...and will give a link to my site...dont u think that it will increase ur traffic heavily??
