Screwing Around And Not Finishing... Don't you hate that.

I'm sure this is something most people can relate to.

You're working on whatever it is your working on and you reach that point where you find yourself screwing around more and working less.

Yeah, I've hit that point. Less action, more procrastination.

So, what about you?

How do you deal with and overcome those mental gremlins that are holding you back?

Well, I think I'll go play Medieval Total War now. My Italian Legions of Doom are about to get medieval on the moors.

Take a break and come back to it later...even if it's a day or two....I have to do that sometimes.

Do something COMPLETELY unrelated to blogging/IM/whatever it is. As in, get off the computer, go camping unrelated. A complete change of scenery is often a great way to get back into things.

Learned one thing from a guy in a completely different biz area, but it works for me:

Work REALLY hard and focused for 2 hours - top - and then relax, play, sleep, drink, eat, watch tv, go outside, for at least 20-30 minutes.

The secret is: human brain (so it seems) is prepared to be at full work mode for just 2 hours. From there it just messes everything. It needs to get distracted.

Try it for a couple weeks, I have been doing this for some time now and my productivity is better then ever.

    I kid you not.

People make good money selling to the rich. But the rich got rich selling to the masses.

my biggest problem is there are soooo many ways that you could possibly make money online. i start and stop a million different time with each method and usually never finish any of them. the biggest problem for me seems to be all the tutorials are written for computer experts. i will be cruising along on a method then all i see is a bunch of stuff i have no idea how to decipher. i get discouraged and look for a way easier to follow

Those two sentences caused my first laugh today

I think Kern, Walker, Reese and every single internet marketer get tired from time to time and have periods of less action and motivation. As human beings we have a deep emotional need for variety.

So take a break, and the motivation will grow. Seriously, do something else. Move around (be physically active), or else you will get depressed.

About motivation....Motivation comes from how big your WHY is. Why do you want to make a lot of money from home? What would it feel like if you saw 2 million dollars on your bank account? Would you feel more secure and free?

When I was in the Navy and had to go to training school, they had a system that worked in hour blocks. You studied or heard lectures or practiced for 55 minutes and for those other 5 minutes you had to go outside or out of the room or anywhere just as long as you did something else.

It worked really well. Both for productivity and for morale.

I do that now and it sure works a treat. I often run around with my dog in the backyard or do some housework. I have used that simple system for a lot of years and it has served me well.

My Eastern European schools from grade 1 till grade 12 worked exactly like that: 50 minutes class / 10 minutes break.

Too bad sometimes I forget about it and sit here longer than I should

I often find myself going to youtube and watching videos after videos that are not productive to my work "MTV" for example.

I go and play with my hamsters if I do notice myself screwing around! And get back to work.!
