I Am In Need Of Some Assistance Please

Good evening warriors,
I have a few questions I would like to ask everyone and hopefully be guided through a few steps in customizing my blog's pages.

I'll try to make this post as orderly as possibly (against my nature), so that people who reply to more than one question will be able to follow suit.

As part of this thread, I would appreciate it if you could visit my site so you could see exactly what I mean. (Don't worry, I'm not ambushing you...).

Shall we begin?...:rolleyes:

1) Below my header, there are 6 different headlines (horizontally aligned).
They are as follows :
home | about us | archives | links | contact | blogs

I believe the "about us" , contact" & "home" headlines should stay.

1A) How might I be able to remove the others?

1B) Do I need any of them? If you look on my left sidebar, I already have 2 of the pages above, they are the same. Do I need to replicate all of them?

1C) What do the other categories even mean (I mean the links one in particular)?

1D) Since this is a simple wordpress blog, isn't the "blogs" button rather useless? I mean, the "home" one takes me to my main blog...what more do I need?

1E) Why does clicking some of the different buttons produce the same link? Hair Growth Remedies# - Notice the extra # (number sign) at the end of the url.


2) Look all the way at the bottom of the blog, you will see a search box & 5 small white lines. It seems to be yet another category bar. I am assuming it is for my sitemap, my disclaimer & other stuff...

2A) How do I load my disclaimer & sitemap (and whatever other pages should go there) into that menu? If they are already completed and saved on my admin area?

2B) Assuming what I said is correct, what other pages should go there? There is room for 6.

2C) How can I remove lines\spaces which I don't use?

3) Now I notice there is another menu at the top right with the following categories: Home | Projects | Help! | About blog | Contact
3A) Do I need all 3 menus? I mean, can't I put all those different technical pages in one menu? (bad idea? ). It just seems to redundant...

4) When I publish ads, they automatically appear on my left sidebar, above the categories. That is fine with me, however They seem to sometimes overlap the writing of my blog (The "Categories" on the left top).

4A) How might I avoid this?

4B) How can I publish ads to both sidebars? I want to create an even look, because I have more than 1 product I wish to promote. It wouldn't look as good if they were on top of each other.

4C) How can I change the width of the sidebars?

5) General appearance of my blog - I would like to revise a few things.

5A) How do I avoid having to scroll down for miles when reading the posts? I mean, I only have 8 posts so far, and I plan on continueing to publish more work. Any way to avoid this? Post in different categories only? I mean, I want people to be able to see all the blog in one place, but it could get rather crazy soon.

5B) My header image is nice and soothing ( so I was told ), however it is not directly correlated to my website. How can I change the image into something else? Only the image, not the title, not the theme...can it be done?

6) Where can I find a good disclaimer? Or a disclaimer guide? I'm no lawyer, and I want to let people know that all I offer is advice, and that I should not be held accountable for any choices they make out of their free will.

If and when you reply, please try to state the number&letter of the question, so that I have an easier time checking the list off.

As this is my first site, please forgive my ignorance, I'm simply trying to learn & improve for next time.

Maybe other beginners could find this thread one day and find some much needed information, you enver know.
