Please Push Me Off The Diving Board

I have just thrown it out there. I am inspired by Stef and her massive action over this past week.

I am going to finish my product before years end (maybe sooner) and I need a push off the diving board because I have confidence issues with things I have not done before like others and I'm seeing a thread where no one wants to hear a lifes story but I think that is a huge part of (at least 10 pages) of my product. I will wind up with a lot more actually as I have learned so many tricks my biggest problem will be digging them out of my secret vault.

I have some pages written. They are "the story" to build up who I am and it will not be in a 10 page sales letter - it will be optional reading included in the ebook. I have seen the story myself so many times that to me it looks like a "broken record" but It may be helpful to someone so for now it is included.

I am looking for someone to read what I have written and tell me if I should keep going with it or if it is just crap and I'm jumping into a cement pool.

I'm looking for a mix of a couple of different people to look - perhaps someone new to marketing, and someone who has written something that sells.

Anyone care to take a peek?

(girl scratches head and wonders if there are sharks in the pool and if the water is deep enough to jump)

I don't know if it's just you. It is early in the day and there could be a whole new wave of evening warriors who hate life stories.

Thanks Marcus. Just exported what I have so far to a pdf and I'll see if I can attach it in a pm - if not I'll send you a note and get your email.

Marcus, I pm'd you and looks like I need your email.

I'm still looking for anyone else.

Maybe someone needs some incentive of why this is marketing related?

I made over a thousand dollars a day on my first real marketing efforts. I believe that "tip" will be included in this book - so if you take a look at what I have so far and care to find out that bit I'll be sending it along after I see if things appear to be going in the right direction.

      Thanks Debbie!

For anyone here - Debbie has some really good coupons you can send to your lists and they can save a lot of money on holiday shopping. And you get a little something too.

PM coming - will need an email. Thanks!

    Hi Jill,

I'd be happy to take a look at what you have so far. I'm in the process of finishing one of my first products and I completely understand the need for the "push".

I sent it back to you with comments.

I'm going to offer you some public advice.

While you are wearing your writers hat - keep going. Don't stop until you have finished writing all that you need to write. Don't go back and edit and don't rewrite anything.

When you have finished writing, take a day off and then put your editors hat on and have a look at your work.
You will move things around and change stuff and do all the things needed to edit the piece.

Nothing kills the creative flow more than trying to edit your stuff while you are writing it. Don't try to wear both hats at the same time.

Once you started into the story - you had me hooked. I was disappointed that it ended (because you only gave me the first 9 pages... sob, sob, sob)

    Keep going!
