Is anyone else experiencing this?

This is getting out of hand for me. I have been in IM since 2009. And I have yet made a SINGLE DOLLAR! Ive gone through everything. SEO, BLOG BUILDING, CLIKBNK, CPA, MLM, AUTOPILOT CRAP, Hundreads OF EBOOKS, PPC, ADSENSE, DOMAIN FLIPPING. You mention it Ive done it. None seems to have given me anything. I study the product, I research the niche and keywords, I implement EVERYTHING I learn and am taught. And Spent innumerable amounts of dollars on every type of advertising, and spent agonizing hours on free advertising. I stick for a month or two on some kind of "strategy" but NOTHING seems to work for me. Just to clarify I am not retarded LOL. I just feel like I have NO luck at all with this and its getting frustrating.

Who in this forum wants to shoot me? LOL I do not have the guts. JK!
Anyways, Is anyone else facing or faced this "phase"? If you have what made you JUMP into your first dollars? I feel like no one has spent over 2 years trying to make money online and has not made a single dime.

Well, it could be a lot of different things, but it sounds like the biggest issue is that you're bouncing around from one thing to the next.

Which method are you "the closest" with? Stick with it...that's all you're missing.

You said you've been trying and setting up offers, and trying things out...which ones are getting the most traffic, take a look there and see if you can fix it..

Not getting any traffic? That'd be a big problem and where to start.

You said you did SEO "for a while" there's only 1 trick to SEO...keep doing it, until you're number 1. Expect at least 4-6 months to get ranke for just about any keyword, and many take a lot longer.

There is no magic bullet or easy answer anyone can give you.

The only way to make it work for you is to take a look at what you're doing and find the missing link.

Yep, you are bouncing too much.

Find one product, one solid method you like best, and keep refining your funnel till you get the first sale.

Were you tracking things like traffic to your website?

Yes, I know how you feel. I just keep reminding myself that the only difference between a failure and a success is that the success tried one more time... "just one more time."
Yes, I know that is hard to remember when everything is going wrong, but I think there is a lot of truth in it.

I've been there. I believe your problem is lack of focus. When we put our energy into something and don't see immediate results we tend to move onto something else. When we displace our energy into multiple things we are diluting the engergy we distribute and therefore dilute the results. Pick one thing and go. Laser targeted focus is key...it starts with building a list. One product, one message, one very specific target market. "The money is in the list" and there is no such thing as all things for all people.

PM me your name and address and I'll mail you a free copy of my book. I think it may help you find focus.

Yip, lack of thoughtful focus is what's missing.

Also, stop trying to find a "magic" formula. There is not one.

There's a lot of ways to do this that work. But you have to pick one right now. One of the easiest to start with is this:

Learn how to find a nice, quiet (small) niche, research it's keywords, make a site that attracts organic traffic.... just "focus" on that. Don't over-think finding a niche the first time. Just get to work doing it.

Also, remember that X amount of work applied to one or two things yields far better results than that same X amount of work spread across many areas.

Thanks everyone for their words of wisdom. I will try and stick to what I'm doing now. Yes I tracked everything. and I've sticked for a few months to many things and put alot of time but no results. I guess I wont be jumping anymore.

I remember it was months before I made my first dollar but once I did I focused on building that particular strategy to the point where I could let it go and look for another strategy to diversify. Currently I have about 4-5 different strategies making me money (not tens of thousands of dollars but a couple thousand per month). I still fall into the trap of "jumping around" every now and then. I've found it helps to get off a bunch of mailing lists and stay focused on the current project. Forums are a huge help.

IM is a lot about bouncing and trial and error, at least for me.

What worked (finally) is making quality sites and doing some SEO for gaining good google rankings. Article marketing also works, although my priority is Google rank for my own sites.

    Product creation worked also.

What did NOT work was adwords/clickbank...and CPA was also only rather "meh".

Find a keyword with decent traffic and low competition.

Build a wordpress blog with 10 articles that target the main keyword and its offshoot.

    Build backlinks.

    Insert adsense.

    Money in under two weeks.

    Good luck.

The problem for me sticking long enough with a certain method.

I know it can be incredibly hard with the tons of new methods, info, rumors and straight out lies out there, but your best bet for success with IM is to just keep on doing one thing until you get success. I do believe you need to see failure a few times before you actually fine tune the recipe to suit your own niche - no book I've read gives the whole story behind success in IM and you have to learn a lot on your own.

Besides from the actual research, what exactly have you implemented?

I once posted a similar thread and when someone asked me this question I realized I hadn't actually done that much .

How many websites do you own, how many pages per website? What promotion have you done/continue to do? Have to built backlinks? Do you monitor there ranking?

Tell us and we can help you more, but my guess is that you've done too little of everything to make a success.

      Thanks,

      Sam

I think it's good that you "stuck for a few months" but what did you do in those few months? Did you manage to get traffic? What kind of site do you have? what niches?

It sounds like you have been putting in a lot of work, but perhaps not the right kind of work or aimed at the right things.

I'm sure if you could be more specific people would love to chime in and help you with specific suggestions.

It took me a long time to make my first $, and I still don't make beer money, BUT, I'm getting there. I jumped around too, but now I only focus on what I know about (or I'm prepared to write articles about and therefore learn).

Ranking takes time and effort. I've only got ten sites, and only 2 make me ANY money, but it's been a real education. I'm looking long term, but G knows I could do with the income now! I started in 2009 and those two sites are now GP1 for some of their keywords. You have to persist, and not be a butterfly. Tidy up your legacy stuff so that it's stand alone, and focus on one or two of the niches that you know most about. There are some good WSOs if you hunt, but even those require effort and dedication, but they will make you money.

'If you want to succeed, then double your rate of failure' - Tom Watson, founder IBM. That's good advice, but you have to temper it with knowing when to move on.

The other thing is to do what you enjoy - that will show through in the quality of what you do. If it's writing code then, then write for others. If you have specialist knowledge in any area, then blog it, become an authority. Blog your experience of failures if there are that many. There are hundreds of ways of making money on the www (I ain't found my winner yet) but I keep on seeking, learning, building, earning (LOL!)

It is really hard to know where exactly you went wrong. I will tell you this simple but effective process. Go where the market and buyers are - offer something attractive to them and then rinse and repeat!

I've got the exact same problem. But that is about to turn around!
Thanks to this forum i'm able to actually tab into the IM business.

    It's quite simple really.

Find out what you can offer others, research which specific market might suit you then research very specific keywords.
Next you should create a blog, post very relevant content on your main keyword and your secondary keywords.
Add adsense to your site and build trust through valuable FREE content - and when you feel for it, start offering high quality offers.
Build a list which in time will generate a huge potential.

It might be overly simplified here, but it's the basics.

Keeping your focus on every step one at a time will make this pretty easy. With time you'll be spitting out new niche sites and potentially earn huge profits. It doesn't come overnight, but i promise you this - If you really desire this and keep your focus, you will become successful.

I wish you all the best,

    qpok.

The big problem for beginners is of course lack of focus. But that is often caused by lack of confidence.

Beginners worry too much if what they are doing is correct and will work. Even though they might be sure it works for others, they still doubt if they can pull it off. Because every workable plan takes time and commitment, most beginners aren't able to stay confident in the plan long enough to ever see any traction...then they skip to then next shiny object...and they are forever in this dead-end loop....(until they get totally frustrated and just quit.)

Relentless Focused Action on a tried and proven method, until it begins working, is what's required for success. Once a bit of success is enjoyed, then the whole process (emotionally too) gets a whole lot easier.

I reckon the problem is your keyword research. If you have done it properly, with 1-2months of work you should have made at least $1 from adsense or so. Maybe you should start with something simple again like adsense, I've got clicks as long as the keyword gets to page 1.

While I didn't go that long without earning anything, I can relate to spending too much time thinking and not enough time doing. I absolutely love reading, researching, and studying. This is important, but it doesn't pay the bills. I have a pretty strict schedule now and I even use some apps to keep me on track (such as grindstone and instant boss). I rarely buy products and when I do I look for ones that match what I'm doing.

If you want to keep trying at internet marketing, focus on one thing and stick with it for several months. Go with something you enjoy. Make yourself a to-do list every day and focus on the most important activities.
