Where to begin?

So after hanging around here for a few weeks and reading as much as possible, I'm not really sure where to go from here.

I was actually onboard to try the Amazon affiliate, sadly though as I did more research about it I ended up reading that the late great state of California (my home state) will probably pass the new legislation regarding sales tax on Amazon. So naturally it started looking less and less appealing, what other options in IM are there besides affiliate marketing?

I'm not creative enough to create a product and market it.

    If Amazon dumps California Affiliates, you can get someone trustworthy in another state to create an account and then transfer the money over to yours.

    You can create a product based on what you already know how to do. There are many people out there who don't know about Affiliate marketing and you can be the person to show them how to sign up with different affiliate marketing networks. You can also create a product helping people start out.

    Usually you know more than you think you know and what you know many people don't know.

      You don't live in California so I wouldn't worry about it.
