Hey guys, I am new to the forum and also new to affilaite marketing. Right now I am trying to promote a few CB products through article marketing and yahoo answers. I do not have a website or a squeeze page. I understand the basics of affiliate marketing. I understand that SEO is a huge part of building traffic. I also know that I am going to need websites in order to be successful, But I kind of don't know where to start.

I was looking at progrms like google sniper and google cash detective for ideas on how to build a system that works.

I understand that I can't just sit back and watch the money roll in! I know that this takes planning and a lot of work in order to be successful. But, I would like to know if anyone has had experience with any of these programs or similar ones that show you how to get going.

I am looking for something that has step by step instructions, videos, examples of SEO, and building micro niche sites, and how to successfully get traffic. I want some examples of a good affiliate site. I am interested in micro niches. Having many micro niches that will generate a stream of money. Im ready to get started with all of this but I would love to have guide or some kind of video that shows me how to get started on a system that can be implemented.

Please dont try selling me some bogus crap, I'm looking for some people that have had experience with a program or some sort of system that has helped them get on their feet. I'm looking to make some sales. I need a little inspiration to get me going. Something I know will work if I apply myself.

Any information that you guys have will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You can find a lot of good tutorials on niche site building and wordpress in either the free section of the forum or the WSO section. There is tons of free info out there so you can get started with the basics.

I wouldnt spend any money yet. Do a search for alexa smith, she has some really good post that will tell you everything that you need to do. If you follow some of her post about article marketing, you will not need to buy any courses like google sniper.

I have bought google sniper and it is a good course, but you can find enough information in this forum to do even better things.

Yes, I think hashbury is right. You don't have to spend money. I think, if you can't be successfull without those programs, you can't be successfull with them either...

Good luck though probably the better investment would be the $37 for the war room. As a matter of fact I am offering up a few products including the tutorials to teach you how to get a blog/micro niche site up and running quickly.

Pffft. Not only did you not read the OP's post, apparently you haven't read the WF rules either.

    hey,
Firstly a huge congrats on taking the step to get started in the industry and moreover, to join this forum and try to learn more.

I've been in the industry for a few years now and although it does take a lot of planning- that's different to learning all the marketing tactics. It will take you a long time to learn seo (one marketing method) because it is complicated for someone new and it may deter you as there's so much info out there.

To rank your sites you really need to know what you need for seo purposes, your site may have the correct meta tags etc but need more links so, as a seo marketer you should ideally know this.

I don't rank my sites myself because you can get programmes to do this for you, and people to write articles/shoot videos. By doing so you're putting out more content while creating more backlinks for your site.

I recommend that you just hire someone even for a one-off job and get them to do seo. (If that's what you want) SEO will take time to show results and to make them last. So it's an on-going process.

In the meantime try 4-5 different marketing techniques such as article marketing, social networking etc and continue to do these daily. This will create a presence for you online while the SEO work will be carried out in the back.

Over time you will become more developed and can cut your work load, as the work you'll do will remain online for a long time.

I hope this helps and all the best

Thanks guys, I will try some of your suggestions.

I have tried article marketing, but I wrote articles and had a Domain name website that was forwarded to the sales page of a product. For example, If I'm promoting a product about fixing the red rings on an xbox360, i would create a domain name similar like- myxbox360guide.info and I would place it in the resource box. Then whenever someone clicked on my domain name it would automatically forward them to the sales page of the product.

I wrote one article and sent it to about ten different article websites, but I don't get any more than about 1-2 hops per day. Should I try sending to more article websites? and if I do, would I accumulate more hops? I have had a few order form impressions in the past four months but for some reason they didn't follow through with the purchase.

I'm very interested in the micro niche websites though, I am going to take some of your advice and look into some of those resources that were suggested.

What you should do is study keyword research. You need to learn to write articles on low competition keywords with plenty of searches.

I would be happy if I could make atleast one sale a week. That would give me some incentive and motivation. I know it's possible once I figure out what works. I just have to keep trying different methods and hope for the best.

Once I generate a little bit of income from sales, I will be able to invest into some other money making systems. But until then, I need to find a way to get some sales by free methods of marketing.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I'm excited to start making money.

I've been reading and tinckering with this affiliate marketing stuff now for a few months trying to find out what works and what doesn't. So far I'm learning alot but I know there is so much more to learn.

I'm the kind of person that wants to do anything it takes in order to make money on my own without having to work an 8 hour job every day for the rest of my life. I am 20 years old and right now I would be happy to earn around 400 dollars a month.

If anyone else has some suggestions of systems that work or some other places that I can go to find out more beneficial information without someone trying to sell me a product I would greatly appreciate it.

Sometimes I get really overwhelmed with all of the information that is needed in order to be successful with affiliate marketing, but I am trying to keep an open mind and move forward. I don't want to give up on this!

    Thanks again!

If you don't have a website. you should get one.

If you want a blog based one, blogger.com or wordpress.org are available for free.

If you want to do something a little more standaloone website based, freehostingnoads.net is a good initial starting point if you have a need for web space with no outside ads and no out of pocket expense (other than your domain name)

In my experience with fhna, I had about 2-3 hours of downtime with them in 2 months, which for a NO COST, NO ADs host, that's pretty good. As soon as you have a little income, I would recommend rolling off to a paid host option for better support and less downtime, but it's a place to start.

One good part once you'r linkbuilding is pointing to your own domain, all you do is change where the domain points to and the link building follows. So your not limited to staying with the xxxx.blogspot.com (or whatever) address.

I was looking at progrms like google sniper and google cash detective for ideas on how to build a system that works.
Sorry, I'm not familiar enough with these to be much help.

Regarding this last part, I have a suggestion, but it's entirely based on limited trial and personal experience, so I will address this in a PM only. (and for those of you who think I'm hawking something, NO I'm not trying to sell ANYTHING that I make so much as a PENNY from.)

Every new traffic method you take on will make your efforts less effective. Pick ONE traffic method aka the one you are doing already ( articles ) and once you start making enough money with that so that you can quit you job, then you can take on another traffic source.

    Here is an illustration:

If you focus ALL of your efforts on one proven traffic source, ( articles ) you will become really good at it and start to make money because you will be doing work ( writing articles ) and doing work makes money.

If you start to spend your time looking for new traffic methods, looking for traffic methods does NOT make money. Then spending time learning how to do them. Learning how to do traffic methods does NOT make money.

Once you start to make money, then you can afford to 'spend time' looking for a new traffic source to ramp up your business, but if you do it too early you'll suffer and then wonder why you have no success...

I remember starting out with just Blogspot blogs. I didn't even purchase a domain name. I was able to get a few ClickBank sales here and there without spending money because I used article marketing.

Thanks, i guess my problem is knowing the right keywords, what should I look for when chosing keywords? What is the trget? As far as searches per week? What products are likely to sell, but arent too competetive? Thanks

Everyone has their own way of determining a good/great keyword. For articles I like to pick a keyword with a search volume of at least 500 or 600 exact searches per month. If it is a buying keyword with the word "buy", "purchase" or something similar in it I will go lower on the monthly search volume.

As far as competition if I am just posting to an article directory I would look for something around 13000 results or lower. You can do this by typing the keyword into google and putting "quotes" around this. Its also a very good idea to see what sites are listed on the first page of google for the keyword. If you see wiki or some other authority site you probably will not be able to outrank them without doing some backlinking.

As far as programs to promote I would stay away from any of the IM make money ones. Its good to go after a product that has high competition if you can find the right keywords to promote it with. If a product is good it will have a brand made for itself and it is easier to profit off of that. The trick is just finding good keywords to use.

I personally like to use software products from clickbank. For some reason I just tend to sell those better than informational products. cj.com also has some really good products that are not overly saturated.

You should definitely get hosting so that you can start your own sites, and then start sending your traffic to a squeeze page and getting their email before you send them off to another site with no chance of them visiting your site again.
