I think I'm posting in the right part of the forum. Anyways, I'm new to the idea of Internet Marketing. Been dabbling in it for about a week now (literally lol). I actually created my first Niche Website after some basic research and I'm pretty sure it's falling to pieces (Even though it ranked pretty good for multiple keywords on google, there isn't very many searches for it)

Anyways, I'm dedicating myself to trying to do more with internet marketing, and I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction to start out.

I'm not a complete n00b as I already know how to install/configure wordpress. I can create some very basic custom themes (except, why change something that's good, right?), I know PHP and HTML, have my own domains and hosting ready and I have a little bit of photoshop experience. Oh and I guess i've messed with SEO a little bit.

Any tips for someone just starting out with this? Right now I will have to make some money before I can put money into The War Room and such, but it looks extremely promising.

Thanks!

I will give you a tip, start as a affiliate and learn many things then if you don't become a vendor, all you did will be no more than a day job equivalent. Research what people need and how others are converting these needs into profits

It's not what you know, it's who you know.

Stop thinking only about helping yourself achieve your goals, and start thinking helping others help you achieve your collective goals.

I really wish I could look at a really successful niche website. Not to copy or even alter and copy, but to really look at how it's but together and to look at how they make money from it. Just to get a basic understanding of the process. I have the hardest time finding keywords and deciding if it looks successful or not.

Looking online really sucks. There's a million different people with a million different ways.

Are there any good forum topics on here that are must reads for n00bs? I've browsed through and it's very extensive, but I just was wondering if anyone had any pointers.

I'm sorry if I sound "needy". It's so much information for someone who has never tried this before.

There is a sticky in this section with all in one threads that are a good idea to look through. That is where I started. The free e-book section has some good reads too.

Thanks everyone! I'll def check it out. Right now I work a day job, about 10 hour days. So, I don't have as much time as I like to devote to this. Going to try to get one site up and running every few weeks in order to keep a steady flow of sites coming, but like i said, it's tough to find keywords when you don't know how lol

  • Definitely download Market Samurai (google it), it is the most helpful tool I've come across in internet marketing.

Have a look at the dojo on their website as well.

As for learning the area, get $37 together ready for the war room. For now, that is all you need.

The War Room is like a library filled with internet marketing software, products and ideas. You really do not need to buy any other product until you have learnt things from the war room.

Just one tip... be aware of what you read on sales pages, try and see past the hype and decide if a product really is worth your money before you buy it!
