Help needed urgent Please What am I doing wrong

I am getting so frustrated here. I am doing my blog and in the last bit i am trying to insert a link into the wording.
I am following all the instructions, well i thought i was, but when i preview my blog post it just comes up with all the html text.

So instead of just having a link embedded in the words it shows everything i have tried to do.

Please help i am goung mad here.

    When you are editing your text (post) make sure you are using the HTML editor (tabs at top of window) when you insert the code. When you swap back to visual you should see your links the way they should be,

    Hi, what platform are you using and are you posting in your text or html interface?

    Chances are you are posting html in a text interface, that is why you are seeing the html codes. Otherwise, it could be because you did not close up your tags.

    If you are inserting a link using the html interface, it should look like this via your html interface:

    I want to insert a link <a href="http:XXXXXX">here</a> in my text.

      If it is a wordpress blog post, then u dont even have to write any html. you can highlight the text and click the the "Insert Link" button and then type your URL. The "Insert Link" is an icon with a chain in front of globe.
