Yeah, the flash draws the eyes away form the marketing message, you need to have a strong call to action that demands the eyeballs of the visitor when they first arrive.

Furthermore, you should be split-testing sale pages, that way you will have data to back up your thoughts.

It reads like a catalog listing. It's boring. If you want to sell this thing you have to make it exciting. You need to talk about all the great dishes you and your friends have personally prepared and enjoyed using it.

You need to talk about how versitile it is and how your wife has gotten spoiled using it, how she doesn't want to cook with anything else. You need to throw up some of your favorite recipies the griddle thingy makes even more special than they were on other grills.

You need to get some testimonials from people who have used it, your friends maybe. I noticed you posted some videos. I didn't look at them but this is where it would do you well to have some footage of a barbeque using the product and have friends sincerely praising it.

You need to get excited about it and then transfer that enthusiasm to your readers. Once you do that you'll start selling them. As for talking about cancer risks, UGH! Unless your product greatly reduces cancer risks over other grillers, don't go there. Good luck.

Just shooting from the hip here, but what problem are you solving for your potential customers? You should identify that problem and focus on your solution.

My initial take (for what it is worth) is yet another thing to clean. I BBQ because I can just scrape the grill and I'm done. The grill works fine and I don't have a need to add another piece of cookware to my BBQ. When I think "griddle" I think pancakes and eggs, which you can't do on yours with the holes and all.

I'm not a gourmet by any stretch though, so I could be way off here.

By mostly shielding the meat from direct heat and flames this product produces the most tender, juicy, flavorful meat dish ever produced on a typical grill. I have a chef using the Holey Griddle in his home now. If it were much larger it would probably be in his restaurant kitchen.

Well spiffing it up and trying to make it more exciting is where I hope we are headed. I hope to make a few YouTube videos very soon. I think seeing it in action with the sizzling sounds, etc. would be good. I am thinking that a video showing a roaring fire burning up something on one side of the grill, while the Holey Griddle is on the other side of the grill cooking something would be a good illustration.

Also, my wife thinks I should offer multiple unit discounts, such as two for $49.98 and additional units at $24.99 each. I think she may be right.

        Hey, Danny...

Until you get it exciting you should keep your advertising money in your pocket because you'll be wasting it. The layout of the site needs work too. It's way over to the left of the page, which makes it hard for the reader to see what you've got. I'd get it centered with a nice background. Make it look professional. Good luck.

I appreciate the feedback. I am making plans and hoping to make it more exciting with YouTube videos. Also, the ads are paid up for three months.

There are already several more great looking dishes my wife fixed that are what she calls "pretty". The site is soon going to be balanced and centered to be more easily read.

I have what may be a hair-brained idea and would be curious what you think about it. My son has an acquaintance that is fifteen years old and can do this perfect sounding Australian voice. This kid is down right funny and can sound just like Anthony Sullivan. Would a loud, Aussie sounding, spoof Anthony Sullivan pitchman kind of YouTube video be a mistake?

Since we are planning some YouTube videos anyway this just sounds like an attention grabbing funny idea to me.

There's no interest with your current website. You need to redo the entire thing and SELL. Right now you just have a bunch of information about the product, with a paypal button at the bottom - you need to actually SELL the product. Put everything in the center of that page, get a bangin' sales page with an irresistible call to action and sell that thing. A video of the product in action might help more than the photos you currently have, maybe put the product on one side of your grill and cook meat on it and some meat on the grill next to it to illustrate the differences.

That is pretty much the game plan right now. I really need to get on the video project.

I did a LOT of reading before jumping into this. I guess I just didn't soak it all up or implement it correctly. Everything I read was just as you and some of the others said, create some pizzaz, sell sell sell.

This isn't my first time in sales, just internet sales. I sold life insurance many years ago. I always figured if you could sell life insurance you could sell snow cones to Eskimos. However, I have a lot to learn.
