What happens after paypal purchase?

Hi,

I going to do some test selling soon and I was wondering what happens upon purchase with paypal? To clarify - what kind of confirmation mail does the buyer get?

I will sell an eBook and it doesn't seem like I can get paypal to email this. But I can direct the buyer to a new website. Will this URL also come in the confirmation email that paypal sends out so that the buyer can at a later time access the website and download the book?

    You can redirect the customer to the download page. I don't believe the link will be in the Paypal email, although I could be wrong. I think the Paypal email is just their receipt of payment.

      Hopefully, it is money showing up in my account.

      If you have 2 paypal accounts - one business and one personal you can test for yourself.

      But is is easy as mentioned above to direct the buyer to a download page.

      HOWEVER - there are scripts/plugins that can create an invoice for a buyer upon their return to your main site.

        When you set up the paypal you must specify a link for your thank you page. Usually on this page you have the download link for your product and any bonuses you may be offering.

        It's really easy to set up. Good luck on your new ebook.

    Set up a paypal button > buyer clicks on it > go to paypal > pays you > paypal redirects the buyer to your download.html page.

    What you need to do is:
    Set up a download.html page with product download link.
    Keep both the web page and product in a folder on your site.
    Password protect it using your web panel.

    Send the Username and Password to buyer by email. They will login and download.

    The above is the most simple way of doing it.

    Hey,

    Your customer should be sent an email with your download page link or direct link to download the product. I would suggest adding another offer possibly an affiliate offer or some kind of One Time Offer to further monetize you efforts.

    Honestly this is a great question...

    I have many of my products set up to accept Paypal. There is an advanced setting where you can direct buyers to go to a download page after they purchase. There is also a cancel page that you can set up...

    A number of my customers are not IM marketers or even very Internet savvy.. Some of them have issues accessing the download page because you need to click "Return to Merchant".

    And that is OK. But I would really like it if they got an email with their download link after purchase. This would solve many of my customer's issues.

    But how about this?

    ... when I buy a WSO for example, I get a reciept email from paypal and I get another email from the product creator with my download link in it....

    How do you set that up? I didn't enter my email address, I just made a payment to paypal and I still got an email with my download link...

    How do you set that up? Is that done automatically through the WSO script?

    Is there an easy way to set this up so all of my cutomers will get an email with the download link in Paypal?

    Is it a hidden tool in Paypal?

    How do you do that????

    I have RAP also and I use the script for several of my products. Does the Rapid Action Products script send an email with the download link after you make your Paypal payment?

    Is RAP the answer to this? thank in advance!

      Anyway, to answer your question, use http://e-junkie.com.

      E-junkie, not only redirects the customer after purchase, it also sends a confirmation email to the customer which you (the seller) can define.

      I've sold well over 10,000+ products using e-junkie, and have very little, if any problems using them.

      It works great with paypal, as well as a bunch of other payment processors.

      I'm assuming it is very similar to the wso script you speak of, however I have no experience using that script, so I can't comment on that.

      I like simple, and if you like simple, you're gonna love e-junkie.

      Oh yeah, just $5 bucks gets you up and running.

    You can set the price to be a v small amount and test it out first using your own pay pal account - go through the entire route and see if it flows. Then you can go back and adjust the price. This way you get to know the customer experience as part of the test!

    When you buy online using Paypal for the payment, usually, paypal sends to your email address only the receipt. But If you are going to buy a software, paypal includes the link of the product as well as the serial number. This is based on my experience.

    Another option is Digital Delivery App It also has a free test mode where you can add a sales button to your site and it will capture conversion rates for you.

    Going back to the original question you'll want one of these as otherwise your download page is open to the whole world. So if ends up in Google or someone passes the link onto friends then people can download your ebook for free
