Can anyone explain to me what plr articles are?

I know they are articles but are they articles that are duplicate or are they articles that no one has used and considered fresh content?

They are articles that are priced extremely low to provide marketers with content for their websites. However, the exact same content is sold to multiple people. The trick is to edit/rewrite the PLR articles prior to submitting them to directories or publishing them on your site. PLR content helps cut down on time spent researching and writing articles on your own, and is usually much cheaper than outsourcing unique content.

PLR is great if you are going to rewrite the information. That is really the only way to use them. You can just throw them up there if you want but you will have the same content as thousands of other sites. I use them as a starting base and then go from there, cuts down on research time. If you use a good spinner you could always go that route and just spin them for your use.

there are always duplicates for plr articles. The question is how many copies are out there of that article?

There are some plr packs that sell the same articles over and over and over non stop so there are thousands, if not more, of the same article out there. A big percentage of people with those articles do not alter them, so, there are TONS of duplicates.

There there are "limited" plr that can be found for sale ... The quantity of those? that depends on the seller. The seller decides how many copies sold until no longer available, creating less copies out there. (usually up to 100 max)

PLR articles are never considered, nor should be considered "fresh content" unless rewritten by the buyer to be more unique.

    hope that helps

Always rewrite or add to PLR. If you don't do at least that, don't bother buying PLR. Having content to go from makes creating new content much quicker.

PLR articles are articles that you can either buy for a very low price or even get for free

However to render them effective you will want to gather some on your topic read through them yourself and wite the information back out in your own words. So that your own unique personality comes through on them.
If you have a good personality then even better!!

What you write is still a great unique article with all the relevant information included however using the plr articles you have dramaticly cut down your re-search time

      And that's it

I've taken PLR articles and combined them, added content, and deleted content to create a new ebook.

I absolutely agree with pmbrent. Creating reports or ebooks is a great way to use PLR. I've also turned them into a video by creating a Powerpoint presentation and then recording it using Jing. Youtube gets tons of traffic these days.
      Thanks,

PLR is great for people that don't have time or do not want to write their own articles but do not want to pay for a ghostwriter. With a little work you can turn a PLR article into something unique. I like to rewrite or reword them, take parts out of several PLR articles and make my own article, or compile groups of PLR articles as reports. I don't like putting my name on PLR articles I have not written so I created a "guest poster" account for my website and I use that for the PLR posts.

I'm with Amandat! and you can rewrite more than PLR Articles with WordFlood. Basically, you can cut and paste any article into WordFlood and rewrite it. I’ve used to to rewrite Wikipedia pages as well as articles from article directories. The sky is about the limit on what you can rewrite.

Another tip: If you can find great PLR articles at lesser known sites, they will be less circulated than a well known PLR provider. You might even be able to grab them before anyone else and be first to use them.

Is WordFlood Spinning software? I haven't had any experience with that one. (I guess I can just go look it up in Google myself, ha?)

Note, also, that the "terms of sale" (what you are and aren't allowed to use them for) are surprisingly variable. Don't just assume that "because you bought them, you can necessarily use them for any purpose you like".

That is because PLR is not supposed to be used as is. It is supposed to be spun or edited. I normally change it up so my keywords are in it or just rewrite it. PLR can be a great base but you have to do something to make it your own.

Duplicate content is more of a real problem when you have it within your own site. Many people use PLR (including myself) with great success, when they use it right. That said, personally I buy PLR as a basis for my content. I either rewrite the article in my own words - and my own voice - or I use a mixture of PLR and original content to make sure I have a good amount of unique content.

I also love using PLR for reports, autoresponders etc as there's no issue when it comes to these things that aren't even indexed by the search engines.
