Hi Warriors,

I sell 2 eBooks on my website totally about 600 PDF pages in length. It currently posted on my website (though I've made it intentionally hard to navigate to so that search engines will find it but people don't). The articles are about 70-100 pages long.

How much of my content should I give away for free (percent-wise or length)? I don't want them reading too much as they won't buy, but I like having free content on the page for page ranking and as a free gift.

You could always give away a sample chapter... or, you could write up a "mini report" (that's just a few pages or so) that sums up some of the important points and facts that you'll be covering - of course, with the caveat that there is plenty more in-depth information in the book. That way, people will know exactly what they can expect, which could lead to more of them buying it.

      Thanks.

I already have a 39 pg quick-start guide I'm giving away for opt-in's that has little redundant info than the articles I want to use for content marketing.

What if I parsed the articles up and gave them throughout my AR? That might work...

Perhaps you could give the first chapter from each book for free and if they want to read the rest, they have to buy the full book.

In regards to making sales copy, I always recommend to people when they ask, to offer MORE free content. The more you can offer for free (without giving it ALL away), the better. Because if you're readers see that you offer amazing content for FREE, they can ONLY IMAGINE what you must offer in your Paid content.

I totally agree. I'd love to give away the maximum amount of content possible. I'm just not sure where to draw the line to make sure that I they can still justify the 99.99 price tag. "I've read 1/2 the book for free... why pay 99.99 for half a book?" etc.

How do you determine where to draw the line?

It's pretty subjective. Just make sure you're offering more than enough value in your sales copy to entice your reader to buy, and then enough value in the book itself so they feel good about their purchase. As long as you know that the people who actually purchase your book will have a head-and-shoulders advantage over the people who don't, you're good to go.

Also, make sure to offer 100% guarantee if for any reason people feel like they haven't gotten their monies worth, and very few people will actually ask for a refund, as long as you do offer genuinely good content in your copy.

    Hi,
Content marketing is now a days playing an important role in online marketing. People are much attracted towards content so that they can get much information about a specific topic. But, to make your content effective, you don`t need to write a very long report. A report should be concise so that there does not create any choppy effect and readers can get information without getting bore. Contents also help in increasing your website traffic and position in Google ranking scale. The selection of words and language that you are using in content should be nice, easy and understandable for every reader.
