    I would recommend you stop basing your business model on Google. It is going to continue to be a declining situation, simply because of the growth of the number of pages that google indexes. You might get lucky, but there are other ways.

    If I were you I would look into Facebook. It is the biggest site on the internet. You can work hard to start growing your friends, and start increasing traffic to your site again. Maybe you can run some promotions where friends get credit for referrals, etc.

      @dvduvall...Thanks for the suggestion, I actually do use Facebook marketing and have recently stepped up the game...also working on an affiliate program...but this takes time. I kind of need some out of the box trick/plan/technique to get this site generating a $minimum of $5000 in the next 30 days.

    There are a number of things you can do...

    1. Since you are already ranking high for your keywords in Google, start searching for other traffic methods. Look into social media such as Facebook, join related forums etc.

    2. Add new income streams. Join hair related affiliate programs and add those to your site. Or spin off new websites with them. This would put you in a position where you can earn from not only wigs but from hair care products. So you are not so dependent on the wig market.

    3. Consider adding an affiliate program yourself where you get an army of affliates to sell for you.

    4. Think about related offerings you can add to the site such as Amazon books on wigs, wig forms etc.

    5. Consider branching out with your own ebook on wig and wig care (check the market first).

    6. Consider a Gift With Purchase of something really special that will make customers more likely to buy from your instead of someone else.

    Since you can see the writing on the wall with your wholesalers, you do need to take some action to diversify your income stream.

    Hi Ann,

    Your goal is a big one. But, to have any chance of reaching it, you'll need to dig in and do several things:


    1) You need to drive more traffic.

    Apparently, organic search engine traffic is working well for you. That's good, but you need more. You need to add other traffic methods.

    A) Go to big-boards.com and search for related forums. Offer free, helpful advice -- with your link in the signature.

    B) Start a Facebook fan page.

    C) Place free classified ads on Craigslist and other places.

    D) Start a blog/Hub Page/Squidoo Lens and offer helpful, related tips.

    E) Make a simple "slideshow" YouTube video that gives info, advice, or a demo.

    F) Plus even MORE additional free/cheap traffic methods.

    You can outsource some of the above cheaply on Fiverr.


    2) You need to improve your conversion rate.

    A) Make sure you have a headline that clearly states the biggest benefit your product provides.

    B) Make sure you explain the benefits of your product AND why your product is the best choice. Anticipate and overcome the objections your potential buyers may have.

    C) List testimonials from your other customers.

    D) Make an offer they can't resist. This includes a great price and some sort of bonus. That bonus can be a free accessory of some sort, free advice/service, or a free related report.


    3) You need to build a list of your buyers so you can sell to them again.

    Perhaps there are accessories or other related products you can sell. If you have a list already (I hope so), e-mail them with a great offer.

    In a nutshell, you need more traffic sources, more conversions, and you need to sell your buyers more stuff, more frequently.
