    1) Research Topic
    2) Write on Topic
    3) Make Your e-book look good
    4) Write Sales Thread
    5) Publish Your Ebook
    6) Promote the heck out of your ebook
    7) (Optional) Put your ebook onto clickbank if it is good enough =]

    Hope this helps!

I know what my topic is as I have been doing it for the last year, but I have no idea how I got about the process of developing a ebook, I have never been involved in internet marketing before so this may seem a pretty silly question and its probably a basic thing to do but really I have no idea where to start from.

Create it with OpenOffice.org - The Free and Open Productivity Suite - It's a free office suite that's just as good as Microsoft Office, if not better. The "writer" program is on par with MS Word and has an export to PDF button, which is the format you want to sell your e-book in.

Oh I forgot to mention. Jeffrey has a point, you want write your eBook in Microsoft Word or OpenOffice, I would recommend Open Office also because it is easier to make eBooks as far as headers and footers and adding graphics etc. and can convert your book to PDF, which is the ideal format for your eBook.

Well I actually have an eBook written up ready to sell. So you want to know the process of developing an eBook?

What you want to do is come up with a basic outline for your eBook.

It should follow a format like most eBooks:

Cover Page - Here is where you want to come up with a good e-cover for your ebook. There is some good software out there, some free software.
      You can go here:

ecover design - design it yourself online
      or

Download Free Ebook Covers & Templates
(Hoping you have a little bit of Photoshop skills lol)

Disclaimer - You can basically copy one of these. A simple copyright will do, although I would do research into this, I am not entirely sure myself what the rules for copying disclaimers. I know if you want it to work you have to get a lawyer but it's not necessary.

Table of Contents - This is where you want to list all the chapters, and sub-chapters in your e-book with the page numbers.

Introduction - Obviously introduces yourself and what your book is going to be about.

Chapter 1 - The chapters will be the body of your book.

      Chapter 2

      Chapter 3

      Chapter 4

      etc....

Conclusion - You finish by writing your final thoughts and what you want your reader to gain and remember from your eBook. Maybe the steps you want your readers to take.

Resource Guide (Optional) - Basically you give links to all the resources you used to do research for your eBook or links to tools that aid what you talked about throughout the book.

Hope that helps you somewhat, If you let me know what the topic is I can redefine and be more specific.

Go out and find some eBooks that you've already read, and if you've really enjoyed them find the reasons why. In order to write a solid eBook find someone who has already written one and go from there.
