Images and headers not showing on site...

Hi

For some reason none of my images are showing on my blog posts, thmubnails or header images on pages pages

Is this a permissions thing do you think and if so where would I go to sort it.

The theme i'm using is OptimizePress.

I've installed 'OP' on quite a few other domains and never had this.

Any ideas?

If none of your images are showing, then it might be because their location references are wrong in some way. They may not have gotten uploaded to the correct folder on your site.

Have you made changes to your media path in your settings?

Sounds like the path to your images is wrong
OR maybe, just maybe, you may have the legendary image destroyer virus. Long thought to be an old marketer's tale, never actually been documented or verified, until now!!

Where are these settings controlled and set in Wordpress?

Does OptimizePress have any options in the plugin to set image paths?

Usually images get put in the 'images' folder on most sites and are referenced in the code on the page 'images/theimage.gif'

on some servers you actually have to manually set permissions on images to read/write all or CHMOD 666.

As said above check the location of the images but also watch incase the theme has a bug, my first theme had a bug so that the coments remained closed although the settings where set to open.

Did you upload the images via FTP or stright from your desktop/computer?

Look at the source code, check the path to the images, and make sure the images are there.

I don't know the plugin that you mentioned but in some plugins you have to set the image paths in the plugin itself. It's possible the paths became erased/altered.

Thanks to everyone who helped out with comments.

Just wanted to let you know that most of you were right!!

For some reason my images were being loaded to a sub directory called 'Blog'

I changed the Wordpress media path in the settings (as suggested by Michael and Co.) back to the default which is 'wp-content/uploads'

I then re uploaded the images and 'bingo!' everything worked

    Thanks a bunch everyone...
