Hello and good afternoon to you all. I am new here in the warrior forums so please bare with me. I am a 23 year old mother of a beautiful 8 month old baby girl. I have fallen on tough times as the majority of the country. My fiancé works 80 hour weeks to support us so that I may stay home with our daughter, however, I cannot stand to be useless anymore. I have been researching IM and AM for years now ad am on information overload. I have an understanding of everything but there is just so much information that I feel lost. I'm desperate to begin but don't know where! I know this is like beating a dead horse of these forums but you all are so helpful that I can't pass up the feedback. I just need a jump off point. I know the niche I am interested in. I have a clickbank account. And thats where it ends. Thank you in advance for any and all advice. I'm anxiously awaiting some comments.

First thing I would say is step back and refocus... Most but all newbies get "overload" keep it nice a simple, start with a list and build a relationship between yourself and the list.

From there I would focus building on your list and then from there the possibilities are endless.. But you said yo have researching for years so I am sure you know a thing or two about what you might want to do.. Anything is achievable as long as you stick with it and also the best advise I was told was not to buy anything! or you may go on to buy another then another.

I would also recommend getting a coach because in the long run they will guide you correctly..

I myself am new but I have quickly learnt so far and my main focus at the moment is my list. But remember to use your time correctly as it's a case of “Time Vs Money” try not to sit on Facebook etc as before you know it an hour or more can easily pass by.

I tried, but I still can't read it.

I've tried leaning back and refocusing, leaning forward and refocusing ... but I still can't easily read it. Sorry to go on about it, when so many others have already commented above, but the font really is a problem, and a great disincentive to respond. For people with smaller screens than mine, it must be all but impossible.

Honestly, the best advise I can give you would be to choose one technique, like SEO or PPC and just KEEP FOCUSING on that until it works. Absolutely 100% ignore everything else.

Hi and welcome to one the best places in the IM world!

It is not too easy to give a direction on what to do but your personal situation let me think that you want to find something to build up fast some income.

As you already have a Clickbank account, i would start taking some action with it. I would take a look to Youtube for example, there are some very interesting step by step videos for you to get started on a low budget, easy to implement.

The important thing, as everyone says, is to TAKE ACTION!

No matter if you make mistakes or if you could do things better. You need to start doing something and stop reading for a while.

Then you will learn from your own mistakes how to improve your techniques and strategies.

    Good luck!

Step 1 : Change your font.

Step 2 : Decide on ONE thing you like to do that someone would be willing to pay for.

Step 3 : Do it and forget about everything else related to IM (for now anyway).

    Can you write? Then write.
Can you design graphics or print layouts? Then do that.
    Can you program? Do it.

Step 4 : Over deliver when you are hired, foster a relationship with your clients.

Step 5 : Keep doing step 4 until you are rich.

I would change that font, it was hard to read. Little rough on the eyes, haha.

I agree that getting a coach is the best thing to do. If you really are desperate to learn the ropes then you should get together some cash and pay a proven coach to teach you. You will shave SO much time off of your learning and you can begin to make some good money in the near future. A great coach is worth so much more than you pay for in the long run.

    To your success,
    Steve

You said you've been researching for years and have a niche in mind so here are some actionable steps that you should take immediately:

    1. Do keyword research in your chosen niche (if you don't know how...you're on WF!)
    2. Build a simple Wordpress website and write some quality content and do some on page SEO, and submit your content to GoArticles and Article Dashboard with backlinks to your site.
    3. Monetize. If there's a relevant Clickbank product, try that. You can also try adsense or Amazon.

If you're not sure about any of the steps, just research them on WF.

Do this now. Today. Keep learning and taking massive action. You can do it, I know you can!

By the way, welcome to the Warrior Forum, you'll do great things :-)

    Best Wishes,
    Vic

I would start with finding a simple way to make money online. Such as providing a service. After you get some money from that I would start focusing on the different niches out there and narrowing it down to what you want to do. Another good piece of advice that has been said is change the font you are using. It is hard to read.

GameVoid has the right idea. Develop one skill in one area of IM. Link building. Directory submission. Article writing. Theme design. Anything that you know would be useful, but you don't know how to fit it into a larger business model.

Sell that as a service. Other business owners - successful business owners - will come to you and hire you to do that for them. Pay attention to what they ask you to do, and you'll be able to see how it fits into a larger business model.

If you just pay attention, your clients will literally teach you how to do what they do. And they'll pay you while they do it, too. Watch, learn, ask questions.

Thanks, Alan! I have been looking for a sort of guide if you will to the basics of AM. I have been researching this for years but it seems I cannot retain a thing! I will be heading over there as soon as my daughter is napping or sleeping. Thanks again!

Hi again, Ive left what I hope is a more useful post to kinda guide you into the starting traps.

Don't get bogged down with SEO, PPC, Backlinks, etc., until you have established your foundation - Your Website/Blog.

PS I'd happily look after the baby. I have 3 daughters aged 6 -11, whom I worship, but tere's always room for a fresh one inmy house.

I think we're a bit far apart though.

Alan, it's nice to hear another parent gush about their children. I absolutely am in love with my daughter . Makenna is the driving force behind my determination to make this "work from home" thing work. Did I mention I am also engaged? haha. Looks like I better get the ball rolling soon or I'll be getting married in my mother's backyard ( not a bad thing but you don't know my mothers backyard. its where the wild things go) If you dont mind I will be picking your brain frequently as you seem to have this thing down packed. I am, on the otherhand, completely lost. I am going to implement your tips and advice tomorrow when my head isn't spinning and Makenna isn't screaming. And yes, we are a bit far apart but hey, I need a vacation haha.

        Me 'gain

Now I've got the plug out of the way, let's be a bit more help, if I can. At least I may help set you on the right path, in the right direction.

So - You have a Clickbank account, and - You have a niche in mind, which your interested in.

Then you're already way ahead of many others. Finding the niche is often the first major hurdle for newbies.

Using your niche as a base, search for any related question/problem you might need help with. This is called keyword research, and identifies what aspects of your niche are most requested. This should give you an idea for the name of your site or blog.

Also study existing related sites and blogs, and take notes.

Using these phrases, search for a domain name that closely describes your niche keyword phrase. For instance, if your niche was Healthy Babies, you might search, "How to Treat Nappy Rash",or "The Best Way To Put Baby To Bed", "Baby Cholic Treatment', and so on. I haven't teted these, but they may fit with a blog name like "Your First Baby', or "Your First Baby's Health". This may take some time, but is worth it ultimately.

Alternatively, you could use your name. This can help you with building your brand and gaining a name and reputation on the internet in your niche.

Register your domain name, and find a hosting service. For your first venture WordPress should fit the bill, as you have control over the content yourself, and it's a good platform for learning how websites work.

Once your blog is hosted, you are online! You now have a presence on the internet. This is your home and base for everything that follows.

From here, there are many decisions to be made, including how are you going to market. Use the Warriors. Don't buy magic systems promising quick easy riches, especially if you've "fallen on hard times". You will only go broke trying, and get nowhere.

By all means get a good mentor if you can afford it, or join a reputable membership which includes step by step help to get started. Be aware though, that some mentoring courses cn be extremely expensive - and they're not necessarily the best ones.

Using helpful blogs, and forums such as this one, you can get a lot of information without having to risk your money.

Keep asking questions. The Warriors love helping each other, and after all, we've got a baby to feed now. There are many more tips here and elsewhere on the WF.

I know you can't leave Personal Messages here yet, but feel free to use my Contact Me page at my site.

I hope this has helped at least a bit, and I wish you good fortune.

I'm taking coaching right now, and i am learning so much. Its always good to always learn from someone who has already gone thru the trial and error part. They have really good thorough programs you can start off with that will give you a good base.

I reccommend profit storm, because i bought a lot of wso and found that one to be the most value and bang for the buck. I have also heard really good things about bring the fresh, but i have not tried it myself.
The good thing is that there really is so many ways to make money in internet marketing, but like many have said, its about chosing your one thing and following thru with it.

Advice? If you want people to read your post, edit it and get rid of the Impact font you are using. It is unreadable and just plain ugly.

Just use the default font and type in your post normally and people can read it without any problems.

Its very easy to suffer from information overload. Throw all the experts out the window. The best thing you can do is find one thing that you like and do it. Start with something basic and build from that. Preferably a subject that you enjoy. Start a blog, make some post, monetise your site, and start linking to similar blogs etc. Possibly throw in a couple of related affiliate products and so. The best thing you can do is keep it simple and grow from there.. Hope this helps

Second. I thank all of you for your posts. My brain is fried from all the information I have been shoving into my skull on top of the sleepless nights and teething child. Not a good combination I assure you. I still have a long way to go as I have still not a clue. I enjoy writing. Have since I was a child. But Im not as confident in my writing to offer article writing or ghostwriting services. I guess I should just jump in with both feet and attempt something, ANYTHING. Ill continue to research and participate in the forums. Hopefully you guys can help me get over this road block.

Whenever I see "mommy" in a username, an immediate large amount of slack goes into it as I read the post, because your priorities become very obvious.

Seems like you are a complete newbie. Please, please... Stop reading so much. It's going to cause information overload which leads to frustration and failure. I've been there, trust me. I strong suggest (again) you do Ed dale's 30 days challenge (The Challenge). It was done specifically for beginners who have no idea what internet marketing is. AH! Reading is killing me. I am getting so confused and there just isnt space to fit this all in my head. I prefer to be well versed and prepared but I'm finding that with Affiliate marketing it's just easier to jump in and learn through trial and error. Stick to one niche and the outcome will be phenomenal. That's what most peoples problems are. They try one thing, give up and try another until something works and shows a quick result. The best is find something you love and stick to it and you will be amazed at the results.
