Blog Comment Tracking Service or Software

2 replies
I've been doing a lot of research on blog comment tracking software. There seems to be a shortage of available software that does a good job at tracking comments.

Most blog commenting software locates blogs that allow comments. Most commenting software offers some form of keyword search and the ability to find high PR and DO FOLLOW. Some even have the ability to automate the process of commenting by automatically filling in the commentors name, email, url, signature, and even a comment.

I have quite a few pieces of software and services that locate high PR DO FOLLOW blogs to comment on but I can't find a good tracking solution.

I want a way to import (or directly paste in to a new entry) the high PR DO FOLLOW blog urls that the various software finds and keep running updates on:

* the status of my comment (has it been approved?)
* Replies to my comment
* Comment page current PR
* Comment page current NO/DO FOLLOW Status

Any ideas on how to accomplish this?
Is there software that will do this already?
What process do you use to blog comment for SEO/Traffic?
What software/services do you use for the various steps of blog commenting?
How do you keep track of your comments? Approval Status? Replies?
Do you have a all-in-one software/service that keeps all this info in an easy to use interface?

    Have you tried Blog Comment Demon? I've got it but haven't used it yet, but it's supposed to do all of this.

    Curious -- what have you found is the best paid service and/or software to locate high PR backlinks?

    My VA finds them manually with a variety of footprints and we use a few link packet subscriptions, but always interested to hear more.

    Thanks!

    Kegandrew... I've used blog commenting heavily to promote my blog as well as sell my ebooks. I don't use any software because:

    #1- I post genuinely helpful comments so I have a 100% acceptance rate, normally in less than 24 hours.

    #2- I can't speak for all niches, but I've targeted three different segments with blog commenting campaigns. Very rarely will someone respond to your comment, and it requires a response from you.

    I often just subscribe to the comments for the post I leave a comment on (which is sometimes allowable, depending on the bloggers comment system), and unsubscribe after a day or so.

    In other words, monitoring comments for replies to your comments isn't that important.

    #3- PR and do/no follow are irrelevant metrics to me. My goal is to be in front of target customers.

    This is strictly my opinion, but if you want traffic in the form of real human eyeballs, (as well as links that aren't going to be poo-poo'd on by Google 3 years from now), find yourself 20 or so relevant blogs that you can post real comments on. Don't post comments on the same blogs everyday... alternate.

    Do this for two weeks, and you'll be amazed that you'll have real human visitors who come to your site AND actually read through your content (provided your content is interesting).

    Good luck!
