Your preferred outsourcing sources (inc monthly virtual employees)

INTERNET MARKETING

Just wondering if anyone had any recommendations, especially on monthly hire (mainly web development / design & wordpress experts) whereby the provider has some form of monitoring system.

I haven't had much luck with Odesk, I'm currently giving freelancer.com a go, however I think I'd prefer to use a company where the employees are paid monthly and are "vetted" for their skills before being made available.

Suggestions greatly appreciated!

I have found that sites like Elance and Guru can be great places to outsource work, there are usually loads of people on these sites ready to help you out. However if it is smaller jobs you are hoping to outsource, micro job sites like Fiverr.com, ttenner.com or TenBux.com can also be helpful.

What type of work were you hoping to outsource?

I use oDesk, I've found their service typically sides with me if I have issues with someone that promises the moon but doesn't deliver half of what I am asking which seems to be most of the time when it comes to stuff like outsourcing SEO for new eCommerce projects. I found a couple of my entry level employees through oDesk but I eventually start paying them off of oDesk so they earn just a little more.

  the other thing I am on the lookout for is a FANTASTIC development company, ideally Ruby On Rails/ajax for a much larger project....so if anyone has had good experience let me know (I've been burnt in the past!!!)

  If you are looking for Virtual Assistants that have different skills there are companies that provide you VA's you can hire. It is a question of whether to outsource it per project/task or to find your very own Virtual Assistant whom you could pay monthly.

For wordpress site set-up and tweaks, it is best to find your own virtual employee. There are a lot of companies whose business is to provide VAs.

For web design, I suggest you outsource it per project/task, unless your VA can do it
in which case, you will hit 2 birds in 1 stone
