The Trickiest Part Of Article Marketing

One of the trickiest parts of article marketing, for many people just starting
out, is finding a way to make their article informative and still attract the
people who are looking for a solution without giving them the solution in
the article.

The reason this is difficult, especially when submitting articles to Ezine
Articles, is because they have very strict requirements as far as the content
matching the title.

For example, if the title of your article is "A Natural Cure For Warts" you
better have a natural cure for warts in the content or your article is going
to be rejected. And naturally, if you're targeting keywords like "natural
wart cure" and "natural cure for warts" then the people using these keywords
are looking for those things. If the title delivers but the content doesn't, you
are in serious trouble.

So what do you do?

The easiest way to deal with this problem is to back into it.

What I mean is this.

Come up with titles that don't necessarily say, "Natural Cure For Warts"
but deal with the subject in some way.

An easy way around this is the question title.

"Is There Really A Natural Cure For Warts?"

The title suggests that you're going to ONLY answer the question of
whether or not a natural cure exists, and not necessarily give them a
natural cure in the article.

This will still attract the prospect's attention because they're going to
want to know if indeed a natural cure is possible so that they're not
wasting their time looking for something that may not exist.

The article can start with talking about what causes warts and then go
into what conventional treatments are. You can do a very in depth
article just on those two things. Then, you can slide your way into
discussing what modern medicine says about natural cures. Finally, in
your resource box, you can pitch your natural cure.

This is an extremely effective way of writing articles for people looking
for solutions without giving them the solution and still targeting the
keywords they're searching under.

Apply this to just about any niche where you're selling a solution to a
problem and you'll have no problem getting traffic to your articles and
ultimately to your landing pages.

    Awesome tip Steven.

Yeah, it's against the tos of ezine articles (just as an example) to title an article promising a big benefit which isn't delivered somewhere within the body of the article before the resource box which makes perfect sense.

But like a lot of the good advice I've seen being promoted lately
about remembering that it's not so important that you deliver
the deed to a small island in the name of the buyer for your offer...

as long as what you actually do promise is delivered (whether it be a membership site, info product, service or what have you.)

    That's great advice.

It discusses the topic of interest and even delivers on the promise
of answering that burning question which is the reason the article was clicked on anyway because it piqued the curiosity in the first place.

So instead of having to spill out a full blown business plan or something in the article,

you can just over deliver on answering that single question with several

reasons, proofs, justifications, examples or whatever.

Yeah man, great stuff as usual and important when deciding how
to title articles before publishing or submitting.

Looks like you delivered the solution right here in the post for us though.

Excellent advice, I agree absolutely and the articles must give enough for a prospective customer to keep reading and entice them to the blog / website... Mainly, there is no substitute for well written articles as a route to market ....

Nice tip Steven. I've had a couple of articles rejected for that reason and when I thought about it the title didn't really cover what was in the article itself.

As well as our illustrious Steve's expertise, I've also learned a lot from Jeff Herring, the Internet Article guy (google it).

Jeff gives some article templates away and also sells a bunch (20+, I think) of article templates.

You can of course look at what he's done on EZA and reverse engineer the formats used ;-)

    Great tip Steven!

I've had an article rejected on the basis that the content didn't deliver what the title offered, according to EA. All I need to do is change the title and re-submit.

    Happy New Year!

I always find that if I 'paraphrase' my article down to about 5%, it's usually a good first pass at a title. I do it using software, of course, not by hand.

    Thanks for the tips Steven.

I think with EZA's stricter rules,
it is more difficult to get articles
    approved.

    I will test it out.
