Domain name length, how long is too long

I have an EMD (exact match domain) I found
its a .com (yeah)

its in a niche I want to promote and sell and lot in already

It gets 10,000 searches per month (on SEObook and wordtracker)
how accurate that figure is, i dont know

problem is
that
the domain is 29 characters long

is that too long? does google frown on domains with that long of a string of letters in them? I guess since it is 4 words that would be considered a longtail
#domain #length #long
  • I currently have a 30 character domain which is #5 in google, for a keyword which recieves around 8000 per month.

    Nothing to worry about.

      Hi,

As you given all the statistics I think there is no reason to worry about characters of Domain. You are going to dominate search as your statistics shows and besides that you have got exact match domain! People love to click or bookmark website links. They do not like to type it in browser. So, Don't worry about charachter length.

I have been told from someone who is an IM expert that anything up to 34-35 characters in length is OK!

As long as you aint puttin' it on print material it don't matter. EMD are used to score some extra points with the search engines.
