Any pointers for attracting a high number of Diggs on digg.com? I have submitted a number of links but the only diggs I get are my own. What's the secret? Do you have to have a hot news item?

No Secret. Just digg on stories you like most and do not submit your own stories from your ids. Better to create a separate Digg profile to submit your own stories. Always submit your story to most relates category. Start submitting stories after good numbers of diggs. Also follow those people who have less submission than Diggs.

You need to be social on digg to get more diggs. Your account likely has no friends, comments or participation.

The more you socialize in the digg ecosystem the more people will digg your posts.

Cheers Brad. I genuinely had no idea that any of that mattered!

    Pay for it?

Just kidding. There is a long standing "secret" that states if you want traffic from Digg.com to shut down your host than you pretty much need to have your post either submitted or dugg by a power digger--someone who the community as a whole trusts.

Or you could just pay for it. Again, just kidding. Don't pay for it. The stuff on Fiverr may get you diggs, but not necessarily on the front page--and THAT is where you want to be.
