Information Overload

Hey Warriors, I've been hanging around reading this, that and the other things for 3 months now. Before I found out about this place I had purchased two clickbank products which didn't pan out; received refunds but, somehow found myself on a few lists I don't remember joining. Anyhow, I now come here, when I receive one of these emails, to read up on reviews of the product. There is always some kind of free product to entice you to add your email to another list.

It's getting to be too much. E-book here, videos there, webinars. It all looks and sounds like great information. Some say start with this and some say start with that. I've looked at so much info I don't know what goes with what anymore. :confused:

I purchased a couple of domain names that are sitting idle. One is on how to get website visitors. Any thoughts on what I can do with it?

I am thinking about just unsubscribing from every list I am on, deleting the downloads and starting over. I am going to purchase a war room membership in about a week (have to wait until the funds get transferred).

I am committed to making this work but, my wife thinks I have a problem because I am on the computer all the time.

    you are in a good spot at the warrior forum... a lot of information here, but a lot of great people here who can help you.

    the first thing i would suggest is indeed getting out of the learning phase and into the doing phase. like many you have fallen into the perpetual student trap.

    start by making an action list of things you can do tomorrow or this week that you KNOW will bring you closer to your dreams. when you make this list i bet it wont include "signup up for another how to make money product"

    the absolute truth is that most of what you have read about has worked for others. Although its not often as easy to re-create their success as they make it seem. but for the most part the tactics work. but you have to do more than read about them to make them work.

    Hi,

    It appears that you have been reading alot but have not taken any action yet.

    The materials you have now are probably already good enough. Why not start acting on whatever you have learnt?

    The results show itself really fast on the internet. In less than a week you should already be getting traffic to your websites.

    Conversion can then happen when you have the traffic, or you can always learn about it later.

    Actually you have to decide what kind of business model you want. At least have an idea.

    If you don't have an idea, or, is open to ideas, share those that sound good to you, so, we can point you in the right direction.

    Do you have any current skills?

      Team X is right.

      You need to know what you want first. Here are a few questions you need to answer before you know which method is best for you:

      1. What do I enjoying doing/talking about?

      2. What skills do I have?

      3. How much money do I want/need and how soon do I want/need it?

      4. How much time do I have to spend on this each day?

      5. Do I want to build up a residual income over time, or do I want to offer services where I get immediate rewards for the effort I put in? Perhaps a combination of the 2?

      If you can't answer all these questions already then there's no point in looking for a system or a product to get you started.

    Basically you need to learn just two things: 1) how to sell online and 2) how to generate targeted traffic. Trust me - everything else is not that important.

    Exactly how I felt a couple of years ago!

    Solution: Leave everything else and focus on ONE method.

    If you think about it, all the methods available in online marketing do work (to some extent) but you would be killing yourself trying to understand everything.

    Secondly.

    Take a deep breath and relax.

    What you need to do is stop bouncing from one thing to the other.
    what you need is a solid actionable plan.
    Start with what you know. That is the easiest then research and see if there is a market for it.

    Write a product or develop one and start advertising that product everywhere.
    You could post a wso and do a market test that way or whatever,but. You need to do something. the only way to get ahead in this business is to focus and take appropriate action to move forward. This often time involves networking with others of like mind and goal but first thing is first.
    make a plan
    execute said plan
    stick with what works discard what doesn't and scale up

    You will make it just need to focus man

    Making what work?
    You need to come up with a plan or a business idea of some kind so you can focus. Then you can ignore all the noise that doesn't apply to your plan.

    Pick only one method/system that you enjoy and understand most . Stick to it, Practice it to perfection.

    You can make money with any good methods.Just pick one.

    You can only use 1 method and beat a lot of multi method/talented people because of the power of your focus.

      Thanks to all who have replied. I am in the Locksmithing trade so, I don't believe that could be a niche that is worth pursuing. Trying to sell locksmithing tools to the general public is not very ethical. Could possibly branch off into home security. I also am a Do-It-Yourselfer and like to tinker with woodworking. It just seems to me that that niche is so saturated.

      I am probably not thinking out of the box yet on any of this.

    One of the biggest time wasters is simply reading a lot. It is great to research and gain knowledge but without actually doing something your time is wasted.

    You have many ebooks, videos, any type of courses etc so what i would do is:

    1) Stop getting to the Warrior Forum and any other forum for a few days

    2) Pick from the ebooks and all the courses you have the product you recognize as the one that could get you started to build your online business.

    3) Focus on that specific product for the next days/weeks and only on that!

    DO NOT BE TEMPTED TO LOGIN TO FORUMS TO SEE WHAT'S NEW OR WHAT PEOPLE HAVE TO SAY TODAY. That would be the biggest mistake you could do, getting you into the cycle again of reading, reading and getting only much confusion and information overload.
