Services Offering - Good idea to also advertise?

Hi,

Still getting my head around things - not going to call myself a beginner any longer, even though technically I still am - mindset thing, you understand?

I have some services that I am wanting to pitch, and wondered if anyone thought if it was a good idea to advertise on the same site?

I'm thinking more along the lines of complementary JV with affiliate offers so that I care have a broad offering without overwhelming myself?

Any suggestions on what I should do here to make this work well, whilst not interfering with the services on offer?

Perhaps this question wasn't clear - what I mean is, would you recommend advertising on the same site as sells services, since it could navigate users away from the site, which is the opposite of what you want.
On the other hand, if there are complementary products or services, this might well be a great way to add value for your customers. Or would this best be achieved through a list?

      Hi Martin

I think what you are saying is, do you advertise complimentary affiliiate offers on the same site that you are selling related services. Is this correct?

Yes, correct. Do I put advertising on the site for products or services that I do not offer, but that would be completary, and thus relevant to what I do?

Or is that a bad idea?

It depends on how many services you are trying to sell on one page. You don't want to present them with a page full of links. I use one sales page for one product. I don't add affiliate links to a sales page.

I do however add affiliate links to a page of content.

That is just my own personal preference. My idea of a sales page is to sell one product. you may have different levels of that product to sell, but I don't confuse people by giving them too many offers on one page.

          I hope this helps.

          Keith
