Removing dates from comments-wp

I am trying to remove dates from comments. I tried deleting the code for it from the comment.php <?php comment_date(__('F jS, Y','sh')) ?> at <?php comment_time() ?> but it still shows!?

Any body has any idea how to do this or what the problem may be?...
Would a plugin interfere somehow or...?

I dont know if this will help or not, but it worked in my new site, but not with my other site (yes, I am using different themes for each).

Thanks in advance.

I know that these can sometimes be controlled by the theme. IE: All ElegantTheme.com themes have those options in the theme itself.

What you need to do all depends on your theme... If it is a freely available theme, post a link to your site so we can see the code my friend...

There's a plugin that can do this for you. It's called Date Exclusion SEO

Just look for where the date is being echoed in your php code and comment it out (or remove). It typically sticks out like sore thumb when you get in the page and look at the code.

Look for "commentmetadata" in your theme files, and comment everything in it.
