The other day on Fiverr I got my first sale! Was so excited, was a ebook. I was even more excited to see I got 100% feedback! Yay! That is until I saw the comment the customer left me, which was horrible and he wanted a refund Reason stated: My ebook was too generic...(the actual comment he left was much much worse than that) I gave him the refund even though I didn't have to, and I feel like he just got some quality info for free. Anyway i'm glad to see sales can be accomplished and in the future I guess i'll write 10,000 page ebooks with lots of pictures to please the turds so that they don't ruin my gigs. And yes that 1 single feedback assured I will never make another sale off it.

    Just take it as an opportunity to improve your product and make sure you represent the product accurately in your gig.

      Post a link of your product so that people can decide for themselves if it was worth 5 dollars or not. Also, it will prevent the person from selling the information as his own since there is already a link out there.

      If you dont want to give a refund, dont. Simple as that. Dont put up with whiney clients, if you believe your work is at a certain level, always represent it that way.

    I always put a disclaimer in my initial message (the one sent automatically to them through Fiverr).

    "If you have any issues with the service, please let me know within a message instead of with a bad review, and I will work to resolve it. If you agree to these terms, please reply with "I Agree"."

    Has worked very well so far.


    EDIT: I also always ask if they're satisfied before closing. Canceling an order with an unsatisfied customer is much better than having a bad review that will scare off other customers. That said, I'm not sure how a mutual cancellation would effect your Fiverr ratings (to become a featured provider).

      VERY SMART ADVICE! That's the kind of tip that will help anybody selling on Fiverr. I love that part about, "if you agree" please reply with "I agree"..

    Write some brief excerpts from your book and make it look exciting. This is how some people do tend to get to you, anyway a person always thinks positive and will learn from his mistakes. Also there must be an option to have a brief preview of what users can expect to find in it before they really buy it. That way you can save yourself from the bad things they might say.

    Thanks Suze! I have a few tricks that keep my head above bad feedback water..lol.

    The truth of the matter is that you can't please everyone all of the time, so bad transactions will happen. The best that you can do is to set up things well in the beginning...deliver what you said you would..and handle any issues accordingly. With free ebooks, just package in some extra PLR stuff and sometimes the customer gets so blinded by the amount of extra things that they get...that they can give good feedback just because they think you went above and beyond! Software is a good bonus. Good luck cash!
