Finding Forums and Blogs

Hi

I have read a lot about doing forums post and blog commenting as a way to generate traffic. The strategy sounds good.

However, where I get stuck is finding the right forums and blogs where I should be posting.

I have been doing searches on Google : "niche" + forums & blogs.

Is there any other way of finding high traffic forums and blogs which are related to the niche ?

The idea is to to post on "quality" ones and not just about anywhere (quantity).

Any suggestions ?

    Hi Rachael,

When you do a google, put in the niche then forum or ezine or blog or forums, like "retriever forums". (Use quotes to keep it specific).

Also, I recommend that you go to freetoolsandtips.com for some wordpress templates for "your" site/blog that normally sell for $20-50 for free.

    Best of luck!

I second installing seoquake as a plugin for firefox. It's a really nice plugin and will help you see if the blog is very popular.

      Have you tried inurl:?

Try typing in the niche you want to find, then inurl:forum or inurl:blog

      Example: "internet marketing" inurl:forum

      good luck,
      Ben

If you use google for searching, you can put in your specific niche and enter "forum" after it to keep it very specific. Its a great way of finding forums and blogs that are specific to your selected business niches, and a great way for social networking as well! Hope this helps!
