Network inside your niche. All you need is find people with traffic where you can create a Win/Win situation. Paying for a banner on other people's blog is an easy way. You can be way more creative too.

Learning more about the people with the same audience than you is probably the best time you can invest.

Genuine blog commenting is a good way to get in touch and get to know other marketers in related niches. That way you can kind of network at the same time... Look for complimentary sites that offer good information and give real comments, feedback or ask relevant questions. I've found this to be a really good way to not only establish backlinks, but like Benoit mentioned, it's also a good way to get to know the site owner so that you can possibly either get ad space on their site or maybe even do a guest post etc.

Most blog commenting are nofollow which is why I dont fool with commenting too much. They still count as backlinks. A good way to do blog commenting is to put your website's name as the Name you Post with and link to the website.

Develop a strong social media presence. This is a great way to generate traffic. SEO is also a great and very effective way for traffic. Forum marketing is also really good. Blog commenting is also very effective. Great way to generate quality backlinks. You could also use tribe pro. It's a very effective service that will share your content up to 3000+ times.

For me Facebook and blog commenting works a treat. For the best results I try and spend an hour a day commenting on other peoples blogs and inviting between 10 and 20 facebook friends. But becareful with Facebook. Don't invite too many friends at once as it will be seen as spam.

When starting out with a new blog its important to set up a posting calendar. This will make it easier for you to add content daily. You need to pump out a bunch of content everyday to keep people coming back to your blog. If you are doing this I would say try the following methods:

    -Guest Posting
    -Forum Posting
    -Relevant blog posting
    -Active Twittering and re-tweeting
-Setting up Google alerts in your niche and writing timely articles
-Going to Yahoo Answers And Looking for questions in your niche and answer them
-Build a list by offering a great free report or free content. This way you can email blast your list each time you send out new content.

  • The absolute best way to grow your blog is guest posting. But not just guest posts for the biggest person in your niche.

Instead, you should look for moderately large sites only slightly related to your blog. Why? Because this way you are an expert delivering new information to an audience, not just supplementing the information already on the website.

All of the suggestions above are great.

They already said to be genuine and add value and I agree.

I would just add, make adding value your priority.

I personally use the rule of 95% giving real value and only 5% promoting.

This has then made more people asking me (rather than me asking them) to participate in webinars as a guest speaker, co-author books, get glowing recommendations etc. which all leads to more traffic.

      Good luck. :-)

Yes but there's a software that utilizes press releases and it provides press release templates so you can start writing your own press releases and it can submit up to 51 free press release sites too

You do know that most of these people asking these questions are fakes? They are trying to generate traffic to their blog by posting on message boards... ie, warrior forum has dofollow links.

I have created a list for traffic tips I figured work:
20 ideas to guarantee traffic to your blog or or how to promote a blog post

and here the proof what works:
How I increased visitor numbers forever and NOT just a short time – traffic generation

i posted screenshots from google analytics to proof my method.

it´s nothing fancy, mostly about seo and back linking, things others already posted here. so my apologies for the shameless self-promotion but i really think this helps to answer your question.

Write, write and write some more. I have found with my niche sites that if I take say 15 days and write 15 articles in a row the traffic goes up itself. This can be true with any type of blog.

Constantly posting on your blog. Creating new content that creates value for your future subscribers. Stay focus and have discipline to keep doing the necessary things so that it can get better. No one ever said making money was going to happen over night. It's a process. Through hard work and discipline, it will happen for you.

    Forget commenting on blogs.

You'll dedicate hours of work to get little to no search engine ranking improvement and perhaps two or three visitors per day.

Guest posting is the absolute best way to generate traffic and improve search engine rankings.

You can get your content published on high traffic blogs and many of those readers will click on your link back to your blog. Plus, the backlink will help improve your search engine rankings.

Guest posting is how I've taken my blog traffic from 80 visitors per day to over 1,000 visitors per day.

I've written a blog post about how I use blog posting to generate traffic, including an email you can send to bloggers to convince them to publish your content.

If you want to read it, here it is:

Wilson - Brad here. I got to agree that posting comments on blogs is a lower priority. Sure it does help create a "presence" on the internet.

However, my experience is that the vast majority of traffic generated comes from the forums - not individual blogs. It is possible that as the intensity and quality of blogs grows so will response to posting.

But for now - I got to agree given a choice I would post in a forum over a single blog. Lots more folks will see the forum post - not always true on every blog.

Nothing can hurt, but budgeting our time is crucial.

What do others believe generates the most for their sites.

    Cheers !
