Ezine articles, Clickbank and landing pages...

Ok, i've been through a process to find a niche (tick)

I've bought a domain name (tick)

I've written some articles ready to go on ezine articles (tick)

Now do I forward the domain name to the sales page with my affiliate code, or is it best for me to create my own landing page?

It all depends on what you want...

If you want to test if the product converts and get some quick sales then you can just forward the domain to the merchants page.

On the other hand if you want to build a solid business then I would suggest you build a good landing page and put on a squeeze page so that even if your visitors don't buy same time you can send them the offer again.

Also if you build a list you can always market to them again provided you build a good relationship with them and give them valuable info...

  • I'd go with building your own landing page. That way you can fiddle around with that as much as you want without having to worry about changing your links in your articles later down the line.

Create your own landing page, you have more control. Also you can look at creating an optin list from the visitors ( easier with certain niches than others )

    Caroline,

I agree with your advice. I also enjoyed your interview with Yaro - you shared some excellent info in that discussion.

Create your own landing page, like this all the link juice will go to your website.

Remember: always build your own business.

Like everyone said, go with your own site. Once you get a list to mail to, you can not only promote the product you have in mind, but you can find other similar products to pitch to them as well. You can only mail one offer to your list so many times before they get bored with the offer and stop opening your emails.

Like others said, sending traffic directly to the publisher's page is a one shot thing. With your list you can recycle over and over again with various products. Get a good bonus product to give away when people opt in and you can build your list fast.

Have you done your keyword research?

Create your own landing page around your keywords. The only thing you should do. You have already bought the domain. So build your page too and get it indexed.

it really depends on whether or not you are good at creating landing pages, I would advise you try doing to the two 50/50 and then see which one works well for you. Make sure you use the clickbank Tid tracking so you know where your sales are coming from.

    Cheers

Your own landing page, because if conversion of that product is no good (i.e. 200 clicks on the hoplink and no sales) then you can switch to another similar product.

I would recommend creating your own landing page. That way, you can capture visitors info (name and email) and you will have a page that over time will develop into a site, which will attract visitors from search engines and other places besides just article links.
