Affiliate Commissions Disclaimer

I've gradually been adding a disclaimer to my sites with affiliate ads on.

Is there a recommended form that this disclaimer should take?

I've been adding something along the lines of - "this site contains affiliate links and if you purchase a product or service via one of these links I will receive a commission."

Is that sufficient, or should I be using something more professional and legal sounding?

    Hey,

I use DisclosurePolicy.org to create a free disclosure that explains that you may accept forms of cash advertising and get commissions etc.

It's easy to use, you just go through the steps and answer the questions and then copy and paste.

I use it on all of my affiliate sites.

    Hope that helps

    Thanks
    Eleanor

I think it's "sufficient", but personally I always like to explain, in addition, that that commission comes out of the vendor's profits, not out of the customer's pocket, i.e. it doesn't cost them a penny more to buy that way. (There are people who don't know that and may assume they're paying extra, if you don't clarify it).

But to the best of my knowledge, there isn't a precise "form of words" you have to use, as long as you declare your incentive.
