NameCheap Coupon Codes for Domain Renewals

This has probably been mentioned here before, but it won't hurt to mention it again...

I came across a discussion recently on another forum about NameCheap and the fact that they don't offer coupon codes for domain renewals. You can find codes for registering a domain for the first time, and for various other reasons, but not for renewals.

Someone on the forum suggested asking NameCheap directly, and I thought it worth trying as I had quite a few domains registered with NameCheap coming up for annual renewal.

I therefore duly asked them and within two minutes they had applied a coupon code to my username, which I can now use at any time for my domain renewals.

There is a slight snag, however. You need to have at least 50 domains registered with them before they will do this. I have 53 domains with NameCheap, so I qualified. I may be wrong, but I think you get an even better discount when you have over 100 domains with them.

The discount I got wasn't staggering - around 10% - but well worth having when you renew 50 plus domains every year.

All you have to do to get the special discount coupon code applied is ask! They don't advertise it.

Hope this helps someone...

John.

Thanks John! I know they just ran a special on FaceBook as well but don't remember how much it was for.

Another option would be to move your domain to GoDaddy before it expires... GoDaddy will charge you less than NameCheap (after the 10% off) for the transfer + domain extension.

If you have a lot of domains - it can save some money

That's true, but I hate GoDaddy - they are always in your face trying to pitch you something or other. I prefer the quieter, more peaceful atmosphere at NameCheap :-)

True, if you really want to save money on domains you can register with NameCheap and then transfer to GoDaddy when its time to renew them. Just make sure that it is all done in bulk.

Yeah, the namecheap coupon for 50 and over is GOLDDEAL, but you do have to ask for it. Godaddy is better if you're looking for coupon codes. They always have coupon deals running for everything.

Name cheap offers free whois guard with the purchase of a new domain.

Best to search on godaddy and purchase from name cheap.

For the most recent coupon codes for Godaddy, I go here

    GoDaddy Discount Codes - Page 396 - NamePros.com

You need to start at the last page (the above link is the last page right now) and work backward. It is always updated with tons of Godaddy coupon codes.

GoDaddy is always trying to pitch something, but as long as you do everything in bulk then you should only have to visit their site one a year, or even if you renew for longer. And always make sure that all GoDaddy emails go to spam
