go for a wordpress or blogger blog. Both get good visibility and cost nothing. You can put your own ads, links, etc on them as well. then eventually you can buy a domain if you like, but it's not necessary. There are plenty of high traffic blogs that are hosted on blogger and wp.

Bad idea - wordpress.com don't allow commercial sites. Blogger do, but can be picky. Also look at weebly.com

You write articles and have a link to your products in the articles. Then you send those articles out to top directories like Ezine.

Another bad idea. Ezine don't allow affiliate links - although other directories do. If you want to use Ezine you will at least have to purchase a domain name to redirect.

    Hey,

You could use a platform such as Wordpress, Blogspot or Squidoo and maybe even hubpages.

It really depends on what you want to achieve. I'd recommend Wordpress.com if you want to host a full website. It's completely free and is hosted at wordpress.com. You just have to put up with a subdomain rather than your own domain. i.e. yourusername.wordpress.com

With domains at only $9 or less and hosting at $5 or less, it's really something you should consider investing in if you want to appear professional online.

    Hope that helps

    Thanks
    Eleanor

You can start your business with a free website like blogger. Blogger is free to join you don't pay nothing.

Another way you can start making money is through article marketing. It's also known as "Bum Marketing". Here's a simplified version for you.

You write articles and have a link to your products in the articles. Then you send those articles out to top directories like Ezine. Goarticles etc. and hope that the readers will buy your product.

You need to create 100s-1000s of articles for it to show big profits.

Bum marketing is dead. (Though I'm pretty sure a lot of people will disagree with me. )

If you can't afford hosting just yet, check out: Chocolate - bannerless free web hosting powered by advanced cluster technology

I've had a few clients use them in a pinch. They seem to be a pretty solid host that offers a respectable free plan with the opportunity to upgrade in the future.

For the domain, look around. You can find .info domains for less than $3.

Otherwise, I guess I'd suggest blogger.

Blogger & WordPress are you best options right now. HubPages is something to consider but they lost a lot of traffic during Google's last major update and it's just now starting to rise. Blogger & WP lost almost nothing during the update so that's probably your best option.

Also, 1and1.com is offering $0.99 .com's for the first year right now, so you can always host with blogger and buy a cheap domain - your visitors won't even know you're not using paid hosting. I believe that it costs to have a custom domain on wordpress.com, but it's free on blogger.

Well, If you can afford a domain name (less than $10.00) then I can set you up on one of my servers for a couple of months...

    • Domain registration is about $10. Cheap Hosting is about $5 a month.

Your best bet is to NOT create a site right now.

Most people build something online then try to figure out how to make money from it and then try to get more people to come to it.

That's like building a store in the bad part of town on an empty street and hoping to revitalize it. IT DOESNT WORK.

Use your time wisely by doing your market research. Write your business plan. Get everything ready. Find your market, your customers, figure out your competition.

Get everything read to "go live" later.

Then along the way figure out how to make the $75 it's going to take to take your project live.

There is, but I've never been a fan of building on another man's land(website), I'd would rather create content and save it for my own site.

Your not buying a domain name/hosting, your investing. Take time to learn the basics so when your ready to "buy", you know your making a good investment.

I'd say blogger. It allows commercial use. By the way, some warriors above answered wordpress, since when wordpress allows commercial use?

  • i would go for squidoo and HUb pages .its best suggested to every starters of IM to go with Squidoo and Hub pages and learn the basic of writing content and building the backlinks>try to go for keywords witrh very low competion and low search volume so that you can easily rank for the keyword

try to do some freelance work on Fiverr -write content or reviews or any job that can help you generate 20$ and then use the money to get domain and hosting

P.S: Dont go for any free domain or hosting ,Not worth the time and effort
