plug in advice

Any recommendations for a plug in that allows people to "follow" or suscribe to my blog? I would like to be able to see how many people are following me as well. I know this is something I should have added a long time ago, but for some reason I have not. Thanks for the advice!

    Hi,

    I assumed that you have your own autoresponder account for people to subscribe,I inserted aweber opt in form into my blog.

    I am currently using Fast IM opt in form wordpress plugin and I found it pretty good.

    They can follow you on your twitter account, or they can subscribe to your list (I encourage the second option)

    I think I didn't get your question completely, but if you want them to join your newsletter/list then you can join Aweber for $1 for the first month and use their plugin to put it easily on your blog's sidebar if it is wordpress.

    Really, that is all what matters >> getting them on your list

    If I were you, I would make a bribe to encourage them getting on my list like:

    Running a contest: Make on the rules of participating in it is to subscribe to your newsletter

    Write a short report: That is the oldest trick in the book, you exchange a free short report with their name and email address.

    Form on right hand side top to collect emails by using a bribe. Use 10 articles turn them into a ebook/report. They have to optin to download it. Reach out if you wish I can guide you.
    BTW your site is ok the main thing is you have a wonderful topic to work with.
    Loads and loads of potential here for creating a great authority site.
    Liked the family pics.
    Great content = traffic and in time will generate income.
    The end of the day by just creating valuable info for your target market can be reward enough.
    People want to know how much you care
    before they care about how much you know.

      Thanks everyone! I don't think I made my question clear enough. I know that I should be building a list with an autoresponder, and I am in the process of writing a free ebook. As soon as the book is finished, I will be signing up with aweber. Don't want to sign up before I have something of quality to offer.

      What I was trying to ask about.....

      I read other blogs in my niche a lot and I see other bloggers have buttons that say..."follow me", or "suscribe to my blog", etc. I assume this is where people just get updates everytime the blogger post a new post. Not an actual list. Is there a plug in for this? I'm sure there is, I just have not been able to find it. Thanks for any advice.

      Thanks for the thoughtful reply. You said my site was "ok". I would love to hear any suggestions you have for making it more than just ok. I am a newbie and I am sure I am doing a lot wrong, but I am passionate about the topic and I would love to turn this site into an authority blog. But I have no idea how to get there!
