My site is competing with a page rank 2 site. What steps can be taken to outrank my competitors?

    Be sure to get relevant backlinks to the niche your site is targeting. Having 1,000 backlinks from forum profiles, article directories, and other generic sources will not help you rank as much as just 100 relevant backlinks will.

    Find other blogs in your niche and inquire about doing a guest post or having your articles published there, once they are indexed for your site, of course. Content can also be submitted to EzineArticles.com for syndication.

    In the end - it all comes down to the content. Both the content that your site has on it, as well as the content your backlinks are surrounded by.
