Name of some great "blog" sites

So, I've been experimenting with SEO and have had some luck using wordpress-type blogging platforms to create micro-sites for backlinks (typically 3-5 well-formed pages) and I wouldn't mind expanding the idea a little bit. (Moderate success in measurable SERP's without feeling like a spammer )

So, I would like to expand the concept a little.

Can you name some great "create your own blog" sites? That allow you to:
1) create your own free site (not just 1 page or article submission).
2) Preferably allowing you to create such as yourownsubdomain.theirdomain.com, or theirdomain.com/yoursubfolder.
3) Would like as many wordpress-type platform sites (since I have most familiarity with this, but open to suggestions.

TL;DR
Tell me what sites you know of that I can create my own (free) blog.

    Wordpress doesn't allow commercial sites. I guess Blogger is the next big one. If you want Wordpress sites for using for sales, you'll need to get your own domain and hosting and install them on your host.

    There is a premium plugin called "wpsyndicator" I think I bought it here in the warrior forum for around 49 bucks (or something close)

    you install it as a plugin, then sign up for the web 2.0 properties that it automatically syndicates to. this takes about 40 minutes the first time you use it but it is a one time thing.

    now, every time you post or ad a page to your blog you can syndicate to all of the sites with a push of a button. you can even make it automatic.

    what it does is sends your latest content to all of the syndicated sites with an anchor text back to your main site.

    type in wpsyndicater in the warrior search bar and maybe you can find the thread. it will explain better than i can.

    i use it on all of my sites!
