How To Find Out Your REAL Google Competition?

Hey guys, I read somewhere that you put "allintitle:" before your keyword to find your real competition, then I read you put your keyword in quotes to find your real competition. This confused me and I'm not sure which one to follow. Please inform me which method do I use to find out my real competition.

Thanks guys

Neither of those, ignore that advice. You're competition is the top 10 sites in Google. That's it. The trick is being able to evaluate those sites, their on-page SEO, and the backlinks they have. But that allintitle or keyword in quotes stuff is garbage.

For the most part, the average Joe doesn't use quotes or allintitle or anything like that. Just type in whatever you want to rank for, that's what your potential customers will see and where you want to be.

Google competition Is based on alot of different factors. Such as pr, age of the domain, how many back links the top 10 competing pages have, as well as many other factors. Market Samurai is a popular program for determining Google competition.

It is very simple. To find your competition, simply do a search for the same keyword you want to rank on. What appears in the top 10(and everyone above your listing) is your competition!

    Cheers

Which Top 10 do you check? The Top 10 with a local IP or not? The Top 10 using my personalized results or your's? How does Google's new "freshness" update factor in?

One handy trick is to enter your keywords into Google then click on some of the top sites, right click on their page and select "view source" then copy and paste the meta keywords into a word document. This enables you to analyse which keywords are getting the sites so popular. Then you can use the best keywords for your site.

I think you have to go with a strong and quality link building.... As all we know Google Dance is running... and everyday top 10 changed... so how you'll find who is more powerful... just check with double quotes and set your strategies according to that and go for it...

You will surely get ranked if you go with a quality rate. Link building and Social media both are important factor for getting visitors and rankings.
