You're new... so I'll be gentle: copywriting and article marketing are two completely different disciplines. I believe there is a special forum for article marketing.

But to answer your question... (and while I'm at it, I'll make it clear that I do NOT write articles for anyone but myself.)

    1. Make it at least 500 words. That's about a page in 12 pt. Times.
    2. Don't overtly sell. It's not an ad (which is why I don't do articles)... it's an educational piece.
    3. Don't refer to your own websites in the article (use the resource box for that)
    4. Make it interesting by giving good, useful information.

There's no "secret formula". Just be halfway decent at writing. (Actually, seeing some of the articles online, you don't even need to be halfway decent. You just need to know how to use a keyboard... sort of.)

I'll start with your post. Be aware of what you're writing and how you present it. You use "I" many times in your post. It should be capitalized - simple but important when submitting an article. You also need to hit the space bar after using a comma or any other punctuation mark.

Get in the habit of putting your best foot forward with everything you write, including your posts here and on other forums. Compose your stuff in Word or another program where you have the use of spell and grammar checking functions. Good luck.

In my opinion you need to keep everything simple and straightforward. Dont try to sell anything and everything should be ok i.e you shouldn't have a problem getting accepted.

What exactly is the problem? EZA usually tells you what is wrong with your articles.

      Jobowen,

Here are some suggestions that require only the expenditure of time (and a little brain power).

1 - Follow The EzineArticles blog - as well as Chris Knight's thoughts, you can also learn from some of the other posters... click on their profiles and see what types of articles they are successfully submitting in markets that interest you.

2 Google Jeff Herring - the Internet Article guy.
He's got a ton of free stuff, including article templates and mp3s all about article marketing.
      The Power of One Article

For the 'price' of a free email address you can learn tons.
Of course he will also try to politely sell you via his followup systems and one-time offers on the telecalls... but think of that as getting a free marketing education thrown in for good measure ;-)

The thing I like about Jeff is that he was a trained therapist for many years and (almost accidentally) stumbled onto the power of article marketing via writing a syndicated newspaper column.

He really hit his stride a few years ago when he came across Internet-based article marketing and took his therapy skills (his teleclasses are masterpieces of delightful knowledge transfer and really show off his communication skills) and writing skills into the world of "article marketing on the net".

3- Google "Sean Mize". Another guy who's taken article marketing and made a real success of it.

      Good luck!

While writing your article, put yourself in the frame of mind of the searcher entering the keyword for which you are writing. Also, write in a conversational, informational tone. Don't use hype, though. In addition, use "you" sparingly; this pronoun connects with the reader's emotions. With these tips, along with good grammar and puntuation, you should do fine.

    Hi Jobowen,

You're a newbie so it may take some time to understand how articles online work. You see, effective online content does not only inform. It changes the lives of the ones who read it. It must be something of value so people will pay attention to it.

I would suggest reading a lot of other blogs and taking note on how it made you feel after reading it. Now try to address which parts of the article made you feel that way.

Effective articles are always reader-centered. It's not about you as an expert. It's about what information can you give.

    Hope that helps,

    Aira

    Here is my input,

The Articles should be Informative and shouldn't be promotional articles.
