anyone use reddit for driving traffic?

I have been trying to get the hang of reddit but after the first day of getting lots of great traffic to my site I'm now getting nothing... I have great content, really funny things but they aren't being picked up like i was hoping. If you have any tips for getting lots of exposure on reddit i would really appreciate it. Thanks

I have made BOT in visual basic that actually PUSH UP your link from 500+ randomly registered accounts, one time it generate 600 unique visitors in just few hours, but that's junk traffic because they stay no more than a 30-40 seconds on my website. Also I didn't see any clicks on my adsense blocks from that visitors :/

Reddit is good for driving traffic but it depends on the niche you have chosen. I found out that reddit works best with my technology, computer and game niches. But I might be wrong

reddit is good for quality content only in my opinion... or has to be controversial / interesting news..

people on reddit like to comment so your content must initiate some sort of discussion,

Try to switch to StumbleUpon, it is way better than reddit.

A better suggestion is to use BOTH StumbleUpon and reddit. I generate the most traffic from those two... via Social Media Marketing

The problem with Stumbleupon is it does not work for Safari users - you cannot automatically bookmark from the toolbar. This is a pain for me as I like Safari and don't really want to have to surf with firefox or chrome just in case there is a page I want to stumble.

    Personally I prefer delicious.

Other than Stumbleupon and Reddit you can also try Digg which also drives a lot of traffic to websites.

Stumble Upon is very good in my opinion at driving traffic, but the quality of that traffic is usually poor to be honest

I use digg and it's working great.. I've tried reddit before as well but it didn't work as well as digg.. just my personal experience..

Probably you might want to pick stumbleupon as well, pinterest is doing good these days too..
