INTERNET MARKETING

Hi guys, I am currently setting up a little site selling an e-book. I have pretty much everything ready, just doing the finishing touches. But I have just realised that I have forgotten a pretty fundemental part of the process. Basically, I have set up the paypal account and that's how I'm going to process the payments, the only thing that I'm not sure of is; once they've paid, how to I redirect them to a download page or a page with an autoresponder form on it? Also, if I were to go with a download page, how do I actually go about that? Sorry, a bit of a noob, clearly. But I don't know how to do it! Any help is much appreciated. Thanks guys.

Check out EJunkie. It's a great way to sell online products and is only like $5 bucks a month or so. I'm in the process of creating my first product and will be using them myself.

Freddie,

When you setup the Buy Button with Paypal, there is a line where you put the download page url in.

You can setup a download page on your website with a link to the download.

Alternatively you can try something like DigiResults which allows you to host the ebook on their site and once the customer buys, they will be sent to the download page. You also have the option to put in your Aweber code when you create the product which then automatically adds them to your list. They still have to confirm though.

I use DLGuard. Pay for it once and use it for as many products as you want. I couldn't do without it. It delivers with an expiring link to protect your download location.

Hi Freddie. All you have to do is to input the URL of your thank you page/download page/autoresponder form page in Paypal during the product configuration process. Once you are done with this, Paypal will give you the code for your "Buy Now" button which you can place on your website or anywhere you want. Upon payment, Paypal will either automatically redirect your customer to your Download page or they may have to click on the link"Click here to return to Merchant" to be manually redirected to your download page.
However, I would advise that you shouldn't just create an unsecured download page on your server as someone that knows what he is doing can get your product for free. He only needs to know 2 things to do so. Hope this helps.

e-junkie is the easiest and where i started and you get automatic secure downloads and expiring links. You can also stamp any pdf's with the buyers email automatically.
