Biggest Obstacles for a Newbie - by a Newbie

Its very hard to see the big picture when you first start out, that is why newbies give up. It is hard to have faith in something new and stick at it and see the long term if it is all new. That and inexperience and lack of direction.

Yeah, too many people come into this making money online thing with a mindset of I gotta know THE BEST method to making money online FAST and EASILY. So they buy products after products not focusing on anything.

Then the funny thing is they will put the blam on IM if they failed without even trying....

Get one method, keep at it untl you succeed, then you can diversify.

What worked for me in the beginning was I had a plan and worked the plan knowing that it is critical to all beginners and experts be it online or offline. Once the plan is successful then and only then.. look at a different plan.

When my plan worked I then shared with other Warriors. Some of them actually improved on the plan because they were Real Marketers earning a living with plans that work.

So many newbies delve into IM thinking they'll learn one or two easy click strategies to quickly become millionaires. I do not blame anybody because I once had this mentality.

To really succeed online, you must develop a strong mentality of taking action, and must acquire the basic skills like setting up a wordpress site, setting up squeeze pages for listbuilding, learning how to move or backup a site and indeed work on your copywriting skills.

Once you feel you've developed these, choose a niche, focus all your energies on building a list in that niche, find out what they want, build a relationship with them, and provide them links to what they want.

This is about all you'll need to see all those hard bucks in your own account, not on a webpage.

And of course, never forget the good old traffic. Learn how to get and upscale this, then you'll be a millionaire. No kidding.

Thanks guys for all your replies. Good to know that I'm not the only one who fell into the 'trap'!

I guess that what some IM is all about, get people who are new to the game to hand over cold hard cash based on empty promises of GET RICH OVERNIGHT FOR ONLY 5 BUCKS schemes. There are many genuine things to be bought out there that will only help on our journey but I think it takes making a few mistakes to sort the wheat from the chaff!

And we have to ask ourselves, we are normal, hardworking, smart people. How in the hell did we EVER fall for some of them!!!

I couldnt agree more. I have been here on the WF for nearly 2 years now and can honestly say I probably know more than half the people here. However I have only made $20 in that time and I have no one to blame but myself. I have just recently realized my problem is trying to make enough income to quit my job in one day which i know is impossible. Lately I have found I am a lot more productive if once I figure out what I want to do, I make a daily task list and stick with it every day. I just need to treat it more as a profession than a hobby.

Hi Kerry, I have never struggled with getting started but my biggest problem in the early days was buying too many products. The problem is that you get on the lists of some of the top marketers on the planet with their oh so enticing sales copy and the next thing you know you bought someone elses course! In the end I unsubscribed from all but one guys list and locked myself away for a month.
My latest problem in warrior forum is buying too much stuff! BUT now I only buy things that others do for me, eg link building. This is not an invitation for any top guys to pitch me! I will NOT buy anything else this month. I will NOT...... good luck, Marc
