Kevin Riley or Steven Fullman what do you do with warrior friends?

Kevin Riley, Steven Fullman, or anyone else, what do you do with warrior friends. I mean I like 'em and everything, friends are awesome. But I just haven't figured out what do you do with them? Do they just decorate your profile page? Or is there something you can do with 'em I haven't figured out yet?

Their lovely mugs just decorate my profile page.

Was pondering this a moment earlier myself when noticing I sometimes check out who someone is friends with just out of curiosity.

I mean, the feature is there right?

Then I notice Zubair's got like 803 friends!

Then it hit me. Lightbulb moment.

If I'm checking out whose friends with who, then more than likely,

      others are too.

Included in those "others" are 803 potential friendly "profile peepers."

Wouldn't you hate to disappoint them by not having something for them to click on during their visit?

It would almost be inhospitable. Clearly, not civilized. :p

All kidding aside, I really have no idea unless it is so you can touch base with your friends more often without having to enter their name into the pm box.

Hope this probing insight has proven insightful for ya and that I don't have too many angry gurus on my hands for spilling the beans.

Primarily the friends in my own profile are to contact if they have specialized knowledge on something I don't. Like tech aspects. It's easier for me to work with people I've know for a while and trust.

Kinda like a quick and easy contact list of Warriors I know.

Beyond that it's created here on the WF for the Web 2.0 era for sure...

        Cheers,

You seriously do not want to know what Kevin Riley does with his friends. I don't even want to know.

He's probably posted some videos about it to YouTube. Use the search terms "hamster" and "duct tape" and you'll likely find them. Make sure you have a barf bag.

I'd be more concerned about that Fullman guy...

I've seen him lurking around outside my house in a van...

                Look Morgan...

it's the Steven Fullman disguise that's the issue here - let's not try and confuse matters. We all know you're an international acting superstar, but this "I'm really a normal guy from the UK" act is ridiculous... give it up.

You can't fool me, and you should have enough respect for the other warriors here to come clean.

                  Karl,

Thanks for acknowledging my acting talent, so I'm sure you appreciate that when I'm in character, I have to live and breathe the character.

In my mind, I really AM just a normal guy from the UK...

Heck, imagine how tough it was to play God in 'Evan Almighty'...

            Quite true.

            Actually, I'm still undecided. Here's a list:

            1. Invite them all over for a Jello pool party.

            2. Take them on a conga line through Buckingham Palace.

            3. Arrange an adventure tour of the Moscow subway line with all of us wearing pink leotards, gold lame jackets, and large Elton John glasses.

Once I take a closer look at the friends function, I'm sure I'll come up with something that involves paper umbrellas.

One thing that may prove to be useful is having the
ability to only receive PMs from your contacts/friends.

Jello pool parties are awesome and a lot harder to accomplish than you might think. Do you know how hard it is to find a distributor that will send you bulk quantities of Jello? Not to mention making Jello in mass quantities gets Jello all over your house. We were cleaning the dust off the floors for months. And the Jello doesn't dissolve as well as you might think. We dumped it out of the pool and it just stayed there until we finally had to shovel it down a storm drain. But even with all that it was worth every minute. The party was awesome.

              But I digress...

Friends list. Seriously this one is a no brainer. I add anyone whose posts I like or that I buy a WSO from or whatever. This is especially true if I love the work they did for me. Now I have a reference point for them. I can always go back and ask them for more work or refer them to a post that I or someone else put up that I think they might like. This is seriously a great feature. I could go on and on about how to use this feature, but I got to run. When I get a chance I'll try to post a whole list of strategies.

    Here's something:
Lets say there's a big discussion about someone's service or product. And one of the owners joins the thread and things start to get heated up, and then you see some warrior strongly defending that guy's position.

It might be helpful for you to know if that guy is a friend of the owner of the product. Not that there is anything wrong with it, or that it disqualifies him from having his views on the matter, but it's just good to know.

Then you make your own judgment about everyone's opinion. With a Friends List you just get to have a little more information. That's all.

    Hope that helps

I can see where you're coming from with this Coqui, but I'd be careful with making any kind of judgement of relationship using the friends info.

I think there's a lot of people making 'friends' without any consideration as to whom they're making friends with. With some folk apparently having over 800, I'm sure they've not checked them all out.

In this case, you can't judge someone by their associations.

          Guilty...

My ability to stay up past 3am has dwindled dramatically since I hit fatherhood.

It's even funnier when I fall asleep on the keyboard. Mind you, the random characters make much more sense than the normal nonsense I come out with.
