Which article directory to submit to ?

I've written about 16 articles in the space of 6 days and now I'm waiting for them to get approved at EZ. I'm not ready to use submission service or payed software to distribute. Which other good , best , High PR article directory should I submit to ? been googling around but not sure which has high traffic ? Lots say goarticles, isnare, articledashboard etc? Can I submit the same article from EZ ?

Thank you for replies to both question.

    Left out:

    Website-Articles.net - PR3 / Alexa 64,656

I don't know how much you should pay attention to PR though, since the links to your website will be coming from an article page, not the home page of the article directory (at least not for long).

Look for a directory that has PR 2,3 or more on the article pages themselves and provides a good user experience. That way you know you'll get the maximum advantage when the indexing, SE traffic and backlink come into play.

Every day I check the obituaries. If I don't see my name there, then I know it's going to be a good day!

Dont you just hate it when people do not post links ...

List Of Top 50 Article Directories By Traffic, PageRank

As far as PR do not put too much weight on it, great example linkchecker (I think that is the name of it, I am on my Intel right now so do not have the link) shows WF as a PR 0 but yet many post on this very forum get top listings over other sites that are supposed to be higher ranking...

if you use program to fetch WF's PR, you get 4. so, I would say it is the problem of the checker you used.

Is it PR important? yes. Why? PR is the fundation of google. reference to PageRank - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia for details. google's founder Page was considered as a scientist, not an engineer, because his invention of Page Rank. BTW, if you do not know, the Page in "Page Rank" does not mean the web page, it is the guys last name.

      just some information.

        David,
That is fine as I said I am on my intel right now but fact is PR means very little just like Alexa rank means very little. I can promise you I can generate more hits and sales from a PR 0 site than I can a PR 4 site... It's not the PR that matters, it is the quality that matters.

You see you are missing the fact that not everyone derives their traffic from google, many use a great deal of targeted methods to drive traffic that have nothing to do with google.

Bottom line you can have all the backlinks in the word and still not make sales. It is quality that will always win and rule...'

Quality as is Traffic, Articles, Site, and Etc.....

          James,

I think we are talking about 2 things. Nobody will say PR0 will not get more traffic than PR4. Check what I said, all I explained is: PR is important. Important <> more traffic for sure. But higher PR means higher possibility that your site will be listed higher in search engine, such as google.

Just like you said, "many use a great deal of targeted methods to drive traffic that have nothing to do with google", but does that mean PR is not important?

Samething to alexa. It is a statistics #, because its user base is huge, even it is biased, it is meaningful.

But again, higher alexa or PR, does not 100% sure guarantee more traffic. But they provide a good metric to evaluate a site's popularity. That's why Mr. Page is a scientist.

I wish you understand what I'm talking about. And good luck.

            Hi David,
Oh I understand... But I have built websites for many many years.. The fact that PR can be faked and Alexa ranking can be faked makes a huge difference also on the question "Are They Important"...

Now I know places like EZA does not fake their rankings and many other sites do not either.. I am not saying they do, but there are some sites that do fake it. I personally feel people put way too much weight on PR and Alexa ranking, course many have also got wise like me.

It's fine to follow PR and Alexa but my point is do not put too much weight on it.. Using it to help measure is ok as long as you are using other tools to help come to a conclusion about a site.

I don't want to hijack this thread.

But you mentioned you want multiple submission sites. However, I have another idea for you. Have you considered packaging your articles into a short report and giving it away at a freebie ebook site? Or offering resell rights to another product of yours so other people sell it with your links involved?

You want to use your content in as many ways as possible. Don't limit yourself to multiple submission sites when repackaging the same thing into a different format could be way more effective!

Take care and hope this inspires you to do something different.

    Cheers,

    Brad Spencer

Interesting point Aaron.. You should submit to your own website/blog, but it is also important to not forget sites such as EzineArticles, Buzzle, GoArticles and etc...
