Could you help me with the calculation?

I have found some keywords with 1000 global searches. According to the conversion theory, I will get 20 sales per month.

My question is for getting 1000 dollars per month from this 20 sales, what should be the minimum product value of an Amazon product?

Could you please let me know what is the percentage an affiliate marketer get from an Amazon product?

1000 global search so 40% visitor for the first spot = 400 monthly visitors. 5% conversion= 20 sales

Hey FaisalKhan: There are so many variables, I really do not think anyone could give you a direct answer. More data would be needed. Thanks

      Edited and simplified.
Could you mention the name of the data?

Not sure about the conversion theory but it depends if you're on page 1, top spot, how well your site/content converts, the price/commission of the product, no refunds, etc. etc.

Personally, I'd look at additional ways to monetize your site visitors, e.g. getting them to opt in to a list. Then maybe send them info on Amazon products, not sure. Don't know if it's even worth it with Amazon but think of other ways to monetize your traffic such as can you offer any other affiliate products (clickbank, etc.)

Notice that the number represents global searches. Usually your site will appear on a lower number of searches.

The calculation I think you are looking for is

    $1000/20 sales = $50 commission per sale
    4% commission rate so do $50/0.04 = 1250

So by my calculations it each item would have to be $1250. All of the variables you have mentioned go out of the window though when you are talking about an item of this high value. From a thousand sales unless you have found an ultra keen price or a different way of selling it you are unlikely to sell 20 in a month.

If you are selling what Amazon calls "general products" you will get a 6% commission for selling between 7-30 products which ship in any given month.

But it would take a miracle for all of your assumptions to actually come true.

If you can get up to each of those variables, you need to promote furniture, laptops, televisions, restaurant supplies, other major appliances.

    This is not impossible...

Just remember the conjecture in that theory is only worth an ounce, whereas the practice and action and testing to get there is worth a pound of gold :-)
