How to Conduct a Webinar?

Hi Warriors,

I was thinking to conduct a webinar on site flipping (my expertise ) for free to educate the public on why I flip sites etc.

However, I have no idea how to start one. I used to use Ustream.tv to do some live webinar but during the questions and answers session, it was terrible.

Any idea how to conduct one?

    Hey,

We have a lot in common, were both site flippers and I love webinars!

First: checkout Vyew.com - Vyew - FREE Anytime Collaboration and Live Conferencing

Then, it really is not that hard, you just have to prepare your content, prepare a list of every question you can think of that a person might ask, the quicker you respond the more you sound like you no what your doing.

When you invite people, your web conferencing software/site will give you a link to send to people that you are inviting to the web conference. When they click on that link, they usually have to sign in, but it depends on what software you choose.

Then your normal layout is a main screen, a list of people in the room on the left, you can click on their name to have private conversation, and then there is usually an open message box for everyone to use.

If you choose a service with voice or video, you may see a split screen for that.

To see the best of the best, download the trial of Adobe Connect, it really is for corporate purposes, but is mighty impressive and shows what you could possibly do with webinars such as, connect to others computers, have them connect to yours, etc, etc.

    Good Luck!

    Hello,

I just did my first webinar on GoToWebinar. It was an enjoyable Experience. I would second the suggestion to sign up for the free 30 day trial.

I simply created some powerpoint slides and used that as my whole presentation. Basically did mark up of the slides while talking and took a Q&A at the end. I woudl strongly encourage you to do this, it is worth your time and effort

Ustream.tv is pretty cool. It's free and a lot of people use it for this kind of stuff.

Let me know how it goes buddy. Been meaning to do one myself but haven't had the time, so you can test it out and if it's good we'll team up at some point in the future and do one together. :p

Hmm...I've decided to test things out using Skype's conference call and UStream.tv at the same time to held my seminar.

I have a huge whiteboard that my father used to list down his previous customers' contacts but he stopped using it ever since he got hooked with Excel. So maybe I will just point the webcam over to the whiteboard while I sit beside the whiteboard. LOL.

    Classic seminar style.

Thats probably a raw, underground way of doing your webinar. If you have a small amount of people listening in then you shouldnt have too many issues (i dont know how many users a Skype conference call can handle).

If you are going a little bigger than I'd probably investigate some of the other suggestions from the Warriors.

    Karen,

I have only had one and have not charged a fee. What I did do was created a "Webinar SuperSale" that offered a "Firesale" of all my ebooks for a really good price. It was effective. In the future I do plan to charge a fee and would be interested in other folks experiences with that kind of thing...

thanks for your response, Sherman. Doing the first couple of them free is probably not a bad idea.

Has anyone used Netmeeting? Since it's MS and free, how effective is it?

Try using vereconference.com... great chat feature. Plus your audience has the choice to record the webinar to their computer... gotowebinar does not do that.
