A very high paid Marketer I know is retiring and he gave me some information about the future and present of I.M That Blew Me Away and made everything possible,he told me the only two ways to create money in this field.Has anyone else had this sort of ephiphany? Its all about placement and not listening to all the internet Myths such as creating your own product is hard? Does Anyone else have any gems to add to this Thread that could give other people that aha moment

      Because italics works waaaay better.

In all seriousness, I think the first big "aha" moment for many is when they realize that an online business is just like any other business. You need to put your heart and soul into it to make things work. Nothing comes easily (or for free).

Totally agree with Joe (your signature is great too)

What exactly were the 2 Gems that led to the aha moment?

Hm, never mentioned any number of "gems" leading to the epiphany; but I'll indulge you anyways .

The statement I made above was brought up many times during my early days in IM/on the forum. I always either missed it completely or disregarded it. In my mind, people who treated this like a business were "suckers" and just weren't able to find the easy way out.

My realization that it isn't as easy as people say it is probably came down after the 6th magic button product that did absolutely nothing for me. Most people would have quit at this point. I'm needlessly stubborn. It is what got me to product 6 in the first place; but now it would also bail me out.

I started reading the forum, and I mean really reading the forum. I found people who knew what they were doing and absorbed everything they said. I started picking up the constantly repeated platitudes and researched them to ensure they were fact based. Now that I knew who and what to listen to I had the fundamentals of a business strategy going.

Last summer, I took the plunge and actually started implementing the things I had learned. Oddly enough, treating IM as part of a business turned out to work. I made my first couple of bucks online. Since, I have been able to get to the point where online efforts pays my bills. I'm not rich by any stretch of the imagination (yet); but finally having that "aha" moment put me on the track that I am on now.

I've always considered the "aha" moment when you figure something out by yourself and
everything suddenly makes sense. Anyway, good for you, but not much point in thread if
you don't tell us what it is all about.

Hey Joe, thanks for the reply

When I asked "What exactly were the 2 Gems that led to the aha moment", I meant to ask the original poster here, who mentioned there were two things (gems) - "the only two ways to create money in this field. Has anyone else had this sort of ephiphany?"

Sorry for the confusion, but it's my specialty!

    Hi guys
sorry for the bold Colin it was quite by accident, but the 2 gems simply put is to either make sure you know and learn everything about traffic generation as the internet changes constantly and overnight wipeing out a lot of people incomes in one sweep.Obviously there was a lot more detail given to me and the second gem was about positioning and how to get money by letting everyone else worry about the traffic which is what he has done for years and then bring it to you.Speaking to him again tomorrow for more detailed info.He even told me how to create the perfect digital package easily and how to reverse engineer banners oh and why you dont want to be an affiliate. Simplified further.

This is completely true. Someone has the product and someone has the people, and when the people buy the product those two someones split the money. It's just that basic.

Honestly I don't even know if its worth creating your own products when so many are out there unless yours is very different

With that mindset there would never be new products, well, ever outside of something completely out of the box. Think they should have stopped with the first ipod? How about with the first TV? First nuclear bombs? Actually, that last one may have been better off left alone (we won't even start that discussion tonight).

A big part of product creation is improving upon ideas that already exist. So I disagree when you say that it is not worth it without a novel concept.

Keep in mind also that some of the best money that can be made online comes from selling your own products.

I think my first big "aha" moment was when I realized what I was doing was working.
"Holy Crap I can pay the bills with what I'm doing here."

Not only that but, when you can do what you love to do for work its great.

Why on earth would you want to create a product if you are not creating something that adds more value to your target market than what is already out there? Bear in mind that adding value could be as straightforward as writing from your personal experience.

I agree that some affiliates make great money but thats beacause they have already mastered the traffic creation side, also what percentage of affiliates are real millionaires?Everything comes back to these 2 basic things if you think about it.

I had my aha moment a week ago. I decided it was all about the:

        !!!NICHE!!!

Yep, so everything it takes to be successful, I figure it's all in choosing the right NICHE.

Let's break it down even more, into 3 important stages.

Marketing - You need to pick a niche which:

        • Has big blogs where you can guest post.
        • Has big sites/ezines where you can syndicate.
        • Has a community where you can make friends.
        • Can be passed about on social media.
        • Where you can write interesting press releases.
        • It has to be interesting enough to become viral.
        • You only need 1 article per week, as you can market it for 40 hours.
Content - The niche needs to be:

        • Something you can write lots about.
        • Something that's making money but you can add a unique twist.
        • Something where you can use multimedia.
        • Something where you can stir emotion.
        • Something where you can write a mix of big and medium articles.
        • Something people will love to read about.
Selling - The niche needs to:

        • Make someone need to buy: either help with a problem or make them better at something.
        • You can choose good products to become an affiliate for.
        • You can choose a mixture of physical and information products.
        • You can sell lots of things.
        • You can make your own products.

Anyway, I think it's about the niche.

Take a LONG time to find the perfect niche and hopefully you will succeed.

This is just IMO BTW OK.

My "aha" moment came when suddenly everything actually made sense to me. It seemed for so long I was running blind and not sure what I was doing would work or not. When I finally understood how everything worked I was able to work smarter and better and then I knew what I was doing was working.

For me the aha moment came when I stopped being self employed and started building a business.

A business functions on the principle of equity and ownership.

Self employment functions on the principle of working day in, day out, same as a job, but working for yourself.

The difference is huge. Don't work. Build equity. And be passionate about it.
