Where to outsource article creation?

Hi guys,
I am trying to find a good relatively cheap source that I could use for article and content creation. It seems there are quite a few big names out there like Textbrokers or even Constant Content but I'm just wondering what us Warriors think. I am looking for the articles to be somewhat SEO optimized and decently cheap. Any recommendations?

Agreed about onlinejobs.ph, but it's a conversion crap shoot like anything else. The Philippines is a big place, you have to sift.

What you can do is give a few different writers a test batch of 1-2 articles that you don't mind paying for. See who writes well.

We've had excellent articles from one writer, excellent articles from writing services that are managed by a PM, and then utterly useless articles from writing services that are managed by a PM, and utterly useless articles from one writer.

I prefer at this juncture to find one writer, or two. Just giving my opinion.

Lots of good writers in the world, including the Philippines. Ironically, some are popping up in Africa now.

I've been recently trying out Iwriter.com, but no matter who you use it will be a matter of trying out somebody or a few people and then seeing who fits.

Iwriter produced some decent results at the base level, but I haven't tried it out at the 5 dollar level for 500 words.

They don't let you know where the writers are from, and you can request them for a second job too.

      Hope that helps.

I';ve had quite a bit of success with iWriter.com as well. I have tried the $3 and the $5 level and I haven't always found alot of difference.

As said above it depends on the writers so I keep a list of the usernames of writers I have been happy with in the past and request them again for future projects.

If you are going to use the $5 level I would recommend it after giving a few $3 projects and noticing which writers are rated 4.5 stars or more and specifically requesting those writers to write your $5 projects. The writers will be keener to do your project first as you are now offering $5 per article and you can be sure doing it this way that you are not getting a less than 4.5 star writer (that you could have paid only $3 for).

Again though its not completely hands off. You have to check through the articles and keep a track record of which writers seem to be the best.

In my opinion for only $3 or $5 and 5 minutes to edit/read through it, its not a bad time saver.

You can check out the warriors for hire section. Choose a service that fits your bill, but before ordering anything, check their reviews/testimonials to make sure their service is good.

I would go to elance and warror forum for hire section. Our best results have come from there.

This Warrior is a good and very experienced writer whose prices are (so far!) at a much lower level than her expertise!

These are some very good resources. I have a low budget as far as how many articles I can buy at once, and this will definitely help.

There are many decent writers on this forum so you should check theirs out. But if have a low budget, I would go for odesk or freelancer.com. There are some cheap ones but quality is questionable, but I've found some good writers for a decent price. Guru.com, Elance, iWriter are good suggestions as well as most people here already mentioned.

The only place that I'm not too crazy about is onlinejobs.ph since I've had some bad experiences from there...

Elance is pretty good or the Warriors forum itself
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[6514603].message }}
  • It depends on your budget. But I believe that getting fellow Warriors to do the writing job for you will be ideal. There are some writers here who do meet your requirement when it comes to the price. Just take your pick. By the way, do not get too much into the hype. You never know you may bump into a self-proclaimed the best writer in the forum but end up to be an ordinary writer who writes lame articles.

odesk is the best place to check out if you need bulk purchase of articles. Quality not guaranteed though
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[6516489].message }}
  • odesk is the best because the writers don't charge as much, but the deliver the same quality that you would get at elance.

I would say avoid outsourcing content at places like odesk and elance as you will mostly get bids from people with very poor English skills.

Additionally I think it is a good idea to do at least a short interview using skype to gauge their writing abilities. If they cannot even communicate using instant messaging, then what good are they at writing articles.

Yes i agree, textbroker does a fine job, They have a pool of college educated writers, Them outsourced sites are to much hassle, who wants to interview potential writers, it's a waste of time for me. Pay the right price forget about it.

Why bother with Article marketing. Go with paid traffic. For what you spend on outsourced writers you could spend on paid traffic

Fiverr is a place for people to share things they're willing to do for $5. Among other things there are people on Fiverr specialized in article marketing and content creation.

    Bets wishes!

If you want someone who you want to work with you on a long term basis, go check at onlinejobs.ph, directory.outsourcingautopilot.com, odesk and freelancer. But if you want someone who you want to work on a project basis then fiverr would be great.

I have hired several good and reliable writers from the Digital Points Forum and I also use some writers here on the WF.
I find on the digital Points forum the writers offer a slightly lower price but quality wise they are similar.

The Key Point when you hire outsource to do your article writing is You to Direct them how your article gonna be.

You better to provide them a clear instruction specially for an article structure, starting from Heading, subheading, sub sub heading,
it easy for you to apply it for H1 H2 H3... etc then

also, make sure the main keyword is no more than 2% density from total word. it's good for SEO

Me myself using articlewritingetc for many my article so far
a lot of my article rank #1 in google.

I have found good writers here at the Warrior forum and at iwriter. If you are going to use iwriter, you have to read the writers feedback carefully. I actually like to look through the feedback of requesters, to find which writers they are using, and I read through the profiles of the experienced elite writers. Just because their profile says their elite, it does not mean that they know how to write well.

Some users have more than one account and provide their own false feedback, which makes it even more important to read the feedback of many different requesters, and from the requesters profile, click on to the writers thanking the requesters.

Always make sure their feedback has actual comments from different people, and if you notice too many negative comments, in reference to bad grammar, skip them. If you don't like the writing style on their profile, most likely their articles will be the same, and your better off looking for another writer. If you do find a good writer, add them to your favorites and be sure to pay them much more money than the minimum to make sure they accept future requests that come from you. As you find more good writers, keep adding them as your favorites and submit your writing projects specifically to those writers.

I have a couple of elite writers that I like to use, and I also give them a few bucks in tips, in addition to what I payed them for the article. If you pay them at the elite prices and provide them with tips, they will accept your projects over the cheap requesters, that demand too much for a few bucks

I personally use Freelancer. I get lucky most times and find great writers that do good work for $5 a pop. I have many writers for my business today that I got hold of there.

I have written for all that has been mentioned here. There are good points and bad points to everyone of them. Remember when you are looking for someone or some company to write for you, look for the specialty they provide.

Also remember you will get what you pay for most of the time. You will rarely get a writer whose first language is not English to write as well as one who has never spoken another language other than English. Grant it there are people who are native to English speaking Countries that can't read and write English as well as others. They should not be writers either.

As for references as well as samples. I can hire someone to write samples for me, so if you do ask for samples ask for a specific topic and please only ask for a few words unless you are prepared to pay for the full article or piece that is to be written.

Ask questions and really take notice of the answers. Sometimes if they are not being truthful then it will show. It shows too if someone is serious about the work they are doing even if their name isn't going to appear on it. I personally take pride in the work I do and expect everyone else to as well.

Offering an incentive is a great way of holding some of your best writers. Offering a Christmas Bonus is one way I keep my teammates happy.
