Wich affiliate network did you start with and how many are you using now?

So I guess what I am curious is what affiliate networks, if any, are you using most often today and are there any other affiliate networks out there, beside clickbank, jvzoo, digiresults and such, that offer for promotion other products beside software and IM products? I am looking for more diversity in affiliate marketing products to promote and wish to expand my horizon.

I figured why not I ask my fellow warriors about this matter...

Thanks in advance for your input.

  • Clickbank seems to be the most popular.

I started out like many people using Clickbank. Sense then my number of networks has grown on an as needed basis. I don't even promote Clickbank anymore. I find the type of offer I want to promote, go to a affiliate offer search engine like offervault and find the network that pays the most for that offer and allows the traffic I want to send to it. I'd say I'm probably a member of about 50+ networks, but the majority of my income is from maybe 10.

I started with Clickbank way back in the day, and failed miserably trying to push IM/MMO products. When I came back and did things the right way (i.e. picking a niche I actually knew a lick about) I went with Clickbank again and have started experiencing consistent results. I also mix in Amazon products when I deem it prudent.

I do look across other networks (as diversity is the key to any growing business); but haven't really found anything that I want to promote yet.

    Hi, Guys & Gals
I think that the subject of this thread is very interesting. IMHO, I think it is a hunting and darn question in everybody's mind especially newbies, Why nobody of the big warriors come up with a WSO or a product that show newcomers to the field what affiliate networks that areavailable and what are the requirements or qualifications for each one of them.
I think that Greed is playing a big part in that matter because everybody is keeping his Golden Goose for himself, What do think?
    Just a thought though.

If it's out of the software or IM niche, there are also quite a few available, like Commission Junction, Shareasale, Linkshare etc.

There's always going to be a bit of trial and error until you find a network and bunch of merchants you are comfortable with.

Then it's likely you'll drop off the rest ... unless you have so many sites in different niche markets.

Otherwise, if you have one solid site, a couple of networks will do.

Eh...I know a lot of people have been jumping into IM the last few years; but I wouldn't put the numbers in the millions period, let alone on Clickbank.

JVZoo, Digi Results, MooshPay and RAP Bank pay instant commissions by PayPal. (And others).

It's only the first two payments from ClickBank that have to be by check - after that you can switch to either direct deposit or wire transfer to your bank. (To many of us, one of the advantages of ClickBank is that we don't have to be dependent on PayPal to get paid, ourselves, though our customers can still pay that way if they want/need to.)

That's sweet, is it applicable to any part of the world you live in, for instance European countries like, Hungary, Romania. Germany and such?

And only after a few check payments you can switch to direct deposits or wire transfers? That sounds great.

There's a list of countries to which ClickBank pays by direct bank deposit here: Accounting Policy - ClickBank

For every other country (from which they accept account-holders - and that doesn't exclude many), they offer "wire transfer" instead. That's not as good, though, because it costs $35 per payment.

After two payments, in either case.

You don't actually have to bank the first two checks, either: in some countries this is slow and/or expensive, and in those cases (although they don't announce this anywhere on their site) ClickBank will normally allow people - by arrangement and with permission - to send the first two checks back to them by mail, and they'll either substitute a direct deposit for them or add their total to the next direct deposit payment. They're typically friendly and helpful about that sort of thing. They're using the "two checks" only as a way of verifying your address, not as a way of verifying your bank account: the direct deposits/wire transfers can do that anyway.

I'm glad iDavi has been mentioned, now. Completely forgot about that one!

There were about nine brand-new new golf related products listed just yesterday at iDavi - THE Digital Product Marketplace. All of the products in that marketplace pay instant commissions.

The affiliate signup is at iDavi Affiliates / Merchants - Login Required

      Hope this helps,

Clickbank was my second network. My first was a private one owned by Shawn Casey (don't recall the name). Went all the way up to like 30 networks or so then back down to 9 after most of them disappeared.

Nearly all of my promotions have always been non-IM products from either Amazon or Clickbank, although some now may also include diversified products from CJ, Shareasale, Linkshare etc depending on the niche.

do you spend time on offervault to look for new ones? I'm hanging on this thing because i can't believe how many there are, does anyone know if they pay on time and are trust worthy or is that up to me to find out. Have you ever had trouble with affiliate networks that don't pay on time and stuff?

Personally, I've never had any problems with the ones I've mentioned, nor seen any need to look for others.

Clickbank, which I'm sure if a fan favourite due to its popularity and easy user interface ( though I'm sure someone will disagree lol)

When you find the right network, which i did with your help, how do you guys feel about gravity? I know some marketers don't care about gravity that much, they just look at the offer and know if it will convert....Are most of you guys like that, especially the more advanced ones here? Or do you just look at the product and just try to balance out in your mind and go for it? For instance if you promote a world of warcraft guide on facebook.... it doesn't have much gravity but it sales really well because Facebook is full of wow and starcraft gamers ... Is it more about just getting in front of the right people?

I think you get where I am coming from

    Thanks for your input,
    Darius.
